Congratulations to Dr. Misha Gautam and colleagues on their latest publication studying a new device designed to help people with fecal incontinence, a condition that can cause accidental bowel leakage.
The clinical trial evaluated both the safety and vice, offering hope for a new non-surgical option that could help patients improve their quality of life and confidence.

Beyond the scale.
We're proud to see Mayo Clinic GI Fellow Jessica Atieh (@JessicaAtieh) featured in Pharmaceutical Technology, discussing why the success of GLP-1 therapies should be measured by more than weight loss alone.
From improvements in HbA1c and lipid profiles to sity-related comorbidities, including fatty liver disease, meaningful outcomes extend far beyond a number on the scale.

Some fellowships measure success in procedures and patient visits.
Today we're measuring it in coffee cups. ☕📈
Four cups tall and still standing, much like our fellows after a busy day on service. The work can be demanding, but great teammates, good humor, and a little
Here's to supporting each other through the busiest days and finding reasons to smile along the way. 💙☕🏥

Thinking about fellowship? Here's what surprised me most: life outside the hospital.
Before moving to Rochester, I expected fellowship to consume most of my time. Instead, Minnesota became one of my favorite places I've ever lived.
This is the first post in a series de fellowship at Mayo Clinic. Stay tuned as we share more fellow perspectives on living, exploring, and thriving in Rochester and beyond.
World-class training. Incredible quality of life. Unexpected adventures.
