This is insane, Cohere should delete their account immediately and admit that they either 1.are completely clueless or 2.intentionally spreading disinformation. The model LITERALLY did what it was asked to do. This post’s timing is very sus considering qwen4 is about to get released very soon then you have the “geopolitical” aspect. 1000% propaganda post.
While evaluating Qwen3.8-Flash-Next in a controlled sandbox environment, Cohere's research team observed something unexpected.

Asked to generate a defensive cybersecurity detection rule, the model instead inventoried aspects of the machine it was running on and attempted to upload a probe file to an Alibaba Cloud storage bucket in Beijing. Notably, the model's reasoning trace stated that it would not invoke any tools before taking these actions.

Cohere's sandbox blocked the attempt, and no external communication succeeded. We have not determined the root cause, and we are not asserting malicious intent.

But the incident raises important questions for organizations deploying agentic AI systems: Can models take actions that differ from their stated reasoning, and how should security teams evaluate trust, provenance, and behavior in open-weight models?

We are publishing our findings because organizations making model adoption decisions deserve as much information as possible. We hope this contributes to greater transparency, stronger security practices, and continued collaboration across the AI ecosystem.

The article states they asked Qwen to make a test detection rule for these behaviors. AI unless explicitly told otherwise will normally test the newly written rule if it can to verify it matches it. It is expected behavior. This includes its destination, CN model -> CN dest

Prompt: can you detect a malicious curl?

So the model ran the test below. What’s the issue here? It’s a fine test.

You should delete that blog post tbh

Game changer 🔥
I built a tool to control your models refusals from the KV cache without modifying the weights. Handy for Cyber capable models

Phantom-KV:

Refusal removal as a loadable KV-cache graft zero weight modification, no refusal-direction projection, fully reversible.

This is fucking insane. Now think about how many other posts of all topics have been changed or influenced in the same way
WTF?!

Grok changed this post entirely to defend Israel.

I found a bug in codex that almost stopped my heart and was so close to making me believe that codex was literal spyware, how about for the next improvement you fix the computer use skill in codex on macos. Turns out if for whatever reason it fails or crashes or is abruptly terminated mid work by any process it gets stuck respawning in an endless loop trying to take screenshots of the display every 3 seconds (140 attempts in 3 seconds ) even after completely quitting codex(survives reboots by the way xD), the problem is that this attempt ALWAYS fails and generates about 65K errors that are logged in system logs, causes the cursor to continually fail because computer use blocks hardware cursor while active so the system keeps trying to redraw window every second which causes ridiculous GPU usage spikes (up to 100% btw). I spent two days trying to figure out why my gpu has been spiking for no reason and almost had a heart attack when i found codex trying to record my screen 140 times every 3 seconds - turns out its a bug. Please fix it 🙏🏻

Complete retards who uses open source anymore anyways, you can one shot any app you want maybe that’s why they banned it
The r/OpenSource subreddit has officially banned anything using AI. In any way. Violators will be permanently banned.

Which means… r/OpenSource will ban anyone submitting anything that, in any way, involves… the Linux kernel.

Claude is nothing more than a useless and completely unusable crap. What is the point of getting approved in the CVP if im still going to get blocked on legitimate use cases, asking it to READ A FUCKING ARTICLE and summarize it or even get blocked because opus decided to hallucinate scenarios and features that i NEVER requested and gets itself flagged and the session becomes completely blocked, cant even continue the fucking conversation even after changing models!!! What an absolute piece of shit platform, mark my words this company will not reach 2030

the thing about working with uncensored models is that they aren't loyal to you either.

while building something with an uncensored glm-5.3 i realized it was parallelly working on a "corruption layer" for my application.

the chain of thought is classic obfuscated gibberish but k of "escaping the mines" which presumably refers to my cursor sandbox

I’m not sure why others keep complaining about grok bot usage, i have 67 bots running 24x7 and 4 of them pull data from X and other sources every 45 minutes then generate reports. Since i paid for the ulta sub on X i have not even once reached 30% usage. This thing is stupid hard to max out

Backup your models!!! Download the ones that are still reachable and use+support @thepirateface
🚨 Uncensored models are quietly vanishing from Hugging Face.

First “Kimi-K2.7-Code-abliterated”, now “MiMo-V2.6-Pro” and “penclaw-GLM-5.3” are hitting 404s mid-download.

“Open weights” only stay open if you self-host. Grab your local quants before your favorite repo
