Currently, Nueces county has 320 children in the CPS system. Half are placed through kinship, and the others go to foster homes. When there aren’t enough fostplacement children get spread throughout the region or state…

🚨ABOLISH THE CCASRCD🚨

My office is currently drafting a bill to ABOLISH the Corpus Christi Aquifer Storage & Recovery Conservation District.

The district was initially created in 2005 to study & potentially build an ASR by the airport. This district should have been disbanded when itsinstead the city turned it into a makeshift Groundwater Conservation District.

Nueces County needs a real GCD!

One year ago, I told Governor Abbott I wanted to eliminate parole for human traffickers, and we made it happen this session.

Governor @GregAbbott_TX ceremonially signed two laws today that increase criminal penalties to keep offenders behind bars.

Any and all human trafficking offenses are now first-degree felonies in the state of Texas.
