The Ministry of Defence does not want to extend the life of the Type 45 destroyers and would rather spend the money on new technology, according to evidence given to the Defence Committee. Click image for more.

I thought the same thing.
Who cares with everything going on? Like this is a big story?

I believe he’s talking about the “mine hits” where Iran has clearly struck the tankers with stand-off munitions and/or systems, but claim the vessels struck a mine. A paltry effort to feign a lack of control over the vessels being struck, while simultaneously continuing to restrict traffic through the strait.
"Fake hits". Like on ships? Because UKMTO says it's likely the MAJORITY of attacks are going unreported.

As much as many are unhappy to admit, the first part of President Trump’s comment is accurate. As it stands, Russia can offer more people than Ukraine can to reconstitution efforts and the building of new formations.
President Trump argues Putin has more people to use in his war against Ukraine than Zelensky does to fight back. "It's time to make a deal," Trump says.

Last month I said that one of the biggest indicators on how Iraqi Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi plans to steer a sovereign Iraq will be how he responds to attacks from state actors/NSAs on Iraq’s sovereign territory. I said this amidst ongoing renewed Iranian strikes on Iraqi Kurdistan. So if these reports are true, my previous assessment that Zaidi was largely working on actions to limit Iranian influence for show until the U.S. complied with their portion of the withdrawal deal, with the goal of deepening ties with Iran in a post-U.S. in Iraq dynamic may track.

The USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71) CSG is going to stick around 7th fleet for a short bit to participate in exercise KEEN SWORD that runs through the end of the month.

Japan to CENTCOM is ~2 weeks transit time.
With a flight deck packed with carrier-based aircraft, including stealthy fifth-generation F-35Cs, the USS Theodore Roosevelt pulled into Yokosuka, Japan, on Friday. Roosevelt is the first non-resident U.S. carrier to visit the key naval port, strategically located on the east than four years. Yokosuka is home to thee USS George Washington and America’s only forward-based Carrier Strike Group (CSG).

Roosevelt, which serves as the flagship of CSG 9, escorted by guided-missile cruiser USS Chosin and destroyer USS Decatur, completed the journey from San Diego in 19 days − maneuvering around a typhoon in the Western Pacific − and will participate in the upcoming combined exercise Keen Sword 27.

Meanwhile, the USS George H.W. Bush departed Thailand after a five-day port call and returned to the Middle East, and the USS Abraham Lincoln arrived home after a nearly eleven-month combat deployment.

From @coco_coindreau we have a photo allegedly taken from Monterrey, Nuevo Leon of a U-2 Dragon Lady flying overhead. Many cartels have a presence in the city like other major metropolitan cities within Mexico.

Left source photo & right comparison photo is 7 years ago in the US.
Just spotted what looks like a Lockheed U-2 Dragon Lady spy plane flying over Monterrey

Nope written by myself, no AI. The information-space is ruined so much that people automatically assume that any informed and intelligent analysis is done with AI.

It should be assumed that current U.S. economic measures levied against Russia will be walked back for the time being.
In a notable development, U.S. President Donald J. Trump has just announced a deal with Russia following a call with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Per the statement, Russia will export 300,000 tons of diesel to both U.S. and global markets, with an increase of 500,000 tons in tons thereafter.
