Playoff GAMEDAY PT 2!

🔵DePaul Prep (4-6) won 37-34 at Hampshire in the wildest finish of the week. The Whip-Purs tied the game in the final minute, but Halsted Bell blocked the extra point to keep the Rams alive. After the defense got a 4th down stop in OT, senior Emmett McCue nailed a game-winning ake of the day. Fellow senior George Farrell, who had three interceptions in the season opener, had a pick-6 in this one for the Rams. Bell made a season’s worth of splash plays in a single game, recording 2.5 sacks and two fumble recoveries in addition to that key block.

🔵Next Game: At Prospect (8-1), 7:00 Friday
Illinois Media poll: #6 in 7A
🗓️Schedule: A bit easier than average - 39 opponents’ wins, 1 ranked team
🏈Scoring averages: Offense 44.3 / Defense 15.0
🏆Best win: Week 4 vs. Fremd, 35-21
↔️Common opponent: St. Laurence. Prospect beat St. Laurence 44-7 in Week 2. The Rams fell to the Vikings 10-7 in the regular season finale.
👀One player to watch: QB Jackson Cacini threw for 2,127 yards and 20 touchdowns, and he rushed for 9 more. He’ll head to Eastern Illinois next year.

The new Super 25 high school football rankings:

-Well, it is the same as last week's Super 25. That's never happened before, but only 2 teams played.
-Unranked DePaul Prep wins a thriller.
-Things didn't go well for the Public League, but a handful of teams could win this weekend.
