🇷🇴 Romania annulled a presidential election after Călin Georgescu finished first, then barred him from the rerun.
🇭🇺 Hungary’s new government rewrote the constitution with retroactive limits that becoming PM again and later approved rules barring long-serving MPs from the next parliamentary election.
🇩🇪 Germany’s domestic intelligence service classified the AfD as extremist, opening the door to much heavier surveillance of the country’s biggest opposition party.
🇫🇷 France upheld Marine Le Pen’s conviction, kept restrictions on her political future and ordered her to wear an electronic ankle tag.
🇪🇸 In Spain, more than a dozen people tied to Pedro Sánchez’s political and personal circle have been investigated or prosecuted in separate corruption cases, while Sánchez himself has not been charged.
🇬🇧 Britain postponed local elections during a sweeping reorganization of local government, triggering a petition accusing the government of voter suppression.
🇵🇱 And now Poland has police surrounding its Constitutional Tribunal while the government and opposition accuse each other of trying to seize control of the court.
The real red line in Europe may not be democracy... It may be leaving the club.

It is the United States who literally bragged, on central command official X account, of sending missiles “down the smokestack“ of civilian Iranian tankers because we didn’t like what they did on our blockade. It is tit for tat. We do it, Iran does it.
Trump himself claimed bragged about being “pirates” because of all the ships we were stopping.
You may have forgotten about that, Mr. Secretary, or want us to forget about it, but I will not stay silent.
These grotesque double standards may work with your biggest supporters, but they destroy our reputation around the world, and harm American interests.

Hamas hasn’t gone away you know. They remain the major obstacle to implementation of the UNSC approved peace plan by re-arming, recruiting, suppressing all Palestinian opposition to their rule within the portion of Gaza they still control & refusing to decommission their arms.
I've watched quite a few funerals of terrorists in Gaza over the last decade -- probably hundreds. This video of a dead Hamas member, Arafat Al-Areer's funeral earlier today doesn't show that the group is backing down, giving up its weapons, or handing over power.
A year since hould be fooled into thinking Hamas has meaningful intentions of changing. @BoardOfPeace @nmladenov
