Kerr: “Basically in all the critical moments of the game, we just put the ball in his hands. And for a rookie to be that advanced already, it’s extremely rare.”
The Warriors ran their offense in the fourth quarter through Yaxel Lendeborg. It's his first week in the league, and it already looks like the game's slowing down for him.

Steve Kerr on Yaxel Lendeborg: “That’s the exciting part, is where this can go. Because there’s still probably 10 plays I can pull up on tape where he made mistakes, either defensively or offensively…despite that, he just dominated the game and took over at 24, in his 4th game.”

Yaxel Lendeborg is only the third Warriors rookie ever to have 31/12/6 in a game

The other two? Rick Barry and Wilt Chamberlain

Final: Warriors 134, Nuggets 114

Convincing way for GSW to get its first W.

- Yaxel Lendeborg 31/12/6 (+27). 4Q offense ran through him.
- Brandin Podziemski 18/7/5 (+33)
- Steph Curry 24 points on 8-for-8 shooting in 26 mins

@ Timberwolves on Wednesday next.

Should also note, Draymond Green and Al Horford both did a great job defending Nikola Jokic, which is a true team effort. But they stood him up in iso situations to make things tough on him. 3x MVP shot 8-for-18 and was quiet after the first quarter.

With this game on ice, Steph Curry will finish 8-for-8 from the floor with 24 points in 26 minutes. He went 3-for-3 from deep and 5-for-5 at the line.

It’s his first game at 100% field goal percentage with at least 6 attempts in his career.

Warriors up 109-91 with 8:34 in the fourth quarter, and Aaron Gordon just got tossed. Hit with back-to-back technicals.

Warriors looking for their first win of the season.

Yaxel Lendeborg after three quarters: 27 points, 11 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 block, 2 turnovers (8/17 FG, 10/11 FT).

He's having his best, most complete game so far. Home-run pick by the Warriors and a ROY favorite.

Steph Curry has 17 points in the third quarter, and I haven't had a clue what Denver has been trying to accomplish defensively all game.

Constant drop coverage for Jokic, who hardly leaves the paint. Low pickup points. Not much pressure on really any catch. Soft shell.

Little wrinkle there from Jokic, who forced a turnover hard-hedging a PnR. Could see some more Denver force defensively coming up in the fourth.

Brandin Podziemski has probably been the Warriors' best player tonight. Flying around defensively, crashing, taking care of the ball, and playing within himself on offense. He's +26 in a 10-point game. 15/6/4.

Warriors up 60-56 at half in Denver. GSW winning with 3-point math. Did a really nice job on Jokic in the second quarter (thought Draymond did well in the 1Q too; he's just ridiculous).

Lendeborg with 15 and 5. Podz is +20 in 15 mins. GSW in good shape if they clean up to TOVs.

Nikola Jokic gave the Warriors 9/5/5 in the first quarter. Then GSW ripped off a 13-4 run in 3 non-Jokic minutes to start the 2Q. Many such cases.

Warriors only ended up winning Jokic's first shift off by 1. DEN's offense is humming.

Nuggets without wings Alpha Diallo, Julian Strawther, and Spencer Jones vs Warriors. Cam Johnson also doubtful.

Warriors expected to get their regulars back. Gui Santos is questionable. Podz/Curry/Draymond/Horford good to go.
