The demo was pretty good ngl
I've left OpenAI and the Codex team to build Blackstar: A new hardware company building the future of human-computer interaction.
We believe that software is solved. Building apps is now easy, but the next meaningful improvement in human-AI communication requires changing the OS we're building a new device entirely.
I'm also excited to announce our $12m seed round led by @AbstractVC, with participation from @naval, @SVAngel, @chapterone, and Timeless, among other amazing angels who've supported us from the old Alex days.

We’re excited to launch the Codex app, a command center for building with agents.
It gives you a focused space to manage multiple agents at once, run work in parallel, and collaborate with agents over long-running tasks.

@_sholtodouglas @jekbradbury @GoogleDeepMind @andy_l_jones @OpenAI @kevin_wang3290 A word on comp: I know folks who become quants to make money but 5 years later ask what they're doing with their life. We're at a special time in history. In AI research, you can help positively guide the most important tech of our time *and* get paid well x.com/polynoamial/st…
I worked in quant trading for a year after undergrad, but didn't want my lifetime contribution to humanity to be making equity markets marginally more efficient. Taking a paycut to pursue AI research was my best life decision. Today, you don't even need to take a paycut to do it.

Our strongest agentic coding model (yet) is now available in the API and rolling out to all major coding products near you.
GPT-5.2-Codex is now available in the Responses API—the same model available in Codex.
It’s strong at complex long-running tasks like building new features, refactoring code, and finding bugs.
Plus, it’s the most cyber-capable model yet, helping to find and understand codebase vulnerabilities.

We are working with OpenCode to allow Codex users to use their Codex subscriptions and usage limits in OpenCode directly. Also exploring how to support other awesome actors in the space.
With the Claude Code shutdown. I am proud that we build Codex in the open with our OSS repo and we are 100% invested in supporting a flourishing ecosystem of agentic coding tools out there.
You can already build on top of github.com/openai/codex/t… directly, which includes ChatGPT login and same usage as you get in codex. Reach out if you are a builder!

Btw we support named args, positional args ($1, $2, $3), and $ARGUMENTS so all three types will work!

Don’t sleep on /review, it saved my ass more than once. To keep iterating fast I commit and let another agent scan commits.
There is not much difference between /review and simply asking for a review, just have a fresh context else it’s unlikely the model will fins bugs when its context is full of implementation thoughts. /review operates as subagent so it does that for you, but with a prompt you can make it review the past X commits and also look at them as a whole, if it’s a bigger set.
