Jaylen Clark tore his achilles his final season at UCLA, and spent more than a year recovering from that injury/surgery.

Asked Clark about the differences in achilles repair surgeries today. Clark explained it's a whole different process these days, especially when you have a covery.

The Wolves bench scored 61 points tonight.

Asked Bones Hyland about the importance of that group being able to replicate that in Anthony Edwards' absence.

"You have a lot of guys, from Ayo, TJ -- all these guys that are hella talented -- that just needed an opportunity to guys are more than capable of going for 20, 25 each on any given night. So I just think now they really have that runway to go show and prove that. And then when Ant comes back, now coach knows exactly what he's working with."

Asked Jaylen Clark about how he seems to often go get the ball back on defense immediately after committing a turnover or missing a shot.

"I ain't gonna lie, I just wanted to get one up. And I threw one and I was like, oh damn that wasn't a good one. So then I turned around and ck really quick... It just depends who I see. There's certain guys I see, where I'm like I'm gonna get 'em. But if it's like De'Aaron Fox tomorrow, I'm not just gonna run at him full speed. So I pick and choose."

Jaden McDaniels has made 70% of his 2-point shots this season -- which leads the team.

McDaniels was asked after the game about his efficiency thus far this season.

"It's not my shot selection. I just work on my game so much to where I can get like 15 points off like 5 shots."

Asked Bones Hyland about LA leaving Rudy Gobert open in the middle of the floor tonight and what Gobert did when catching on the short roll.

"We know they one of them early low-man teams. We told Rudy it's a catch and kick out -- it's a pocket game... I think he's excellent at etimes he goes up with it, he feel like he can finish. But he kicks out a lot, and I think that helps the team."

Here's Bones Hyland when asked about Jaden McDaniels' dunk in the 4th quarter.

"I'm tryin to get that dunk package. I told Jaden, I said bro, I gotta get a dunk package."

Bones also talked about Anthony Edwards sending a message to the team team group chat after his surgery, to "be the voice of the team".

Bones Hyland talked about defense being a focus of his offseason when we talked to him in training camp.

Asked Hyland about how he feels his defense has been thus far this season.

"I think I've been doing a pretty good job, honestly. That block I had, they called a foul. That ryin to get my blocks up... I'm learning a lot from Jaden, JC -- and shoutout JC tonight, too, I want to give him a lot of credit."

Asked Bones Hyland about the increasingly green light he's been given to be aggressive in Minnesota.

"Obviously there's a lot more opportunity out there just to step in. Honestly for me, just goin with the flow of the game. My teammates finding me, making the game easy for me. getting the 3s rolling, get downhill. Like you said, the green light but don't let it be too much of it. Getting everybody involved too."

Would not have thought "poised" would be a way to describe Joan Beringer's play thus far this season. But he's earned it.

Rudy Gobert is getting a ton of touches in the middle of the floor, because LA is having their big play up to touch and no one is defensively reengaging with Gobert he reaches the low-man at the bottom of the floor -- if at all.

In other words, they're daring the Wolves to pass to Gobert. And after a rough start to the game, Gobert has done a good job of activating himself in that area -- as a short roll passer, offensive rebounder when switched onto a small, and a few catch and finishes.

9 points and 3 assists in the first 8 minutes for Jaden McDaniels, who pretty clearly looks like new No. 2 in the Wolves' pecking order behind LaMelo Ball.

Maybe best right-handed finish of his career there for Terrence Shannon Jr.

Shannon lifted his right hand and stared at it while going back down the floor.

Chris Finch was asked about this interaction on the bench between Rudy Gobert, Jonathan Kuminga and LaMelo Ball.

Finch was unaware of the interaction, as was Gobert when he was asked.

"Honestly, I didn't see what you're referring to the other night. It's part of the game. s to stay in a healthy context. But you'd rather have guys talking about things and airing it out than brooding over it and letting things fester. So yeah, I think it's just a normal part of the way things are these days."
LaMelo Ball had words for Rudy Gobert on the bench.

Asked Chris Finch about Anthony Edwards and Julius Randle being walking advantage creators in terms how teams defended them last season, and how the offense goes about replacing those advantages, outside of LaMelo Ball.

- pace, body movement
- next action basketball
- creating h and without the ball in hand
- adding more movement style sets
- playing with the rotations to have players on the floor at the same time with complementary games
