Now appearing on The Ryan Day Show, Ross Bjork says the Big Ten is having conversations about changing the football scheduling model in 2028 to be based on previous year’s standings.

Ross Bjork said on the Ryan Day Show that he believes college athletes will eventually be designated as employees.

He thinks the differences between state laws will make collective bargaining at a national level difficult, but thinks there should be more conversations with athletes about governance at the conference and school levels.

With Jay Timmons questionable for this week’s game, Ryan Day named Jordan Thomas and Simeon Caldwell as options to play at nickel along with Jermaine Mathews Jr.

Day said he thinks the Buckeyes are building good depth in the secondary.

Ryan Day says he sees “a lot of Emeka Egbuka” in Phillip Bell.

“Somebody who I think in the second half of the season is poised to make a big difference.”

Ryan Day’s radio show starts with a question about the quarterbacks.

“They’ve been stepping up ... I think the guys have been rallying around them. They’ve had a good week of work.”

Ryan Day said “we’ll see how the next couple of days go” in terms of Jay Timmons’ availability vs. USC, but the plan is for him to travel with the team.

Ryan Day said Austin Siereveld practiced at right tackle today and will be available against USC, but it’s still to be determined whether he’ll be ready to play a full game on Saturday.

Ryan Day thought Isaiah West “ran his hardest and his best” that he has this season against Indiana. “We’re going to need him,” Day said, with Ja’Kobi Jackson out.

Day said the Buckeyes think he can develop into the “best running back in the country.”

Ryan Day will not name a starting quarterback tonight. He says both Luke Fahey and Tavien St. Clair had a good week of practice and both will be ready to play.

Ryan Porter has coached Jayden Daniels, CJ Carr and many other Division I QBs. He says Luke Fahey has the talent to be as good as any of them.
