My reaction whenever someone says:

Found this clip on a Singaporean BMW driver which actually captures the standard attributes of one…
BMW drivers are already notorious in the world but the SG ones are next level
Classic traits of SG BMW drivers (that the video also shows);
> Filtering into lane THEN sigin the middle of the road after getting honked at
> Cutting multiple lanes at once because you own the road
> Making sure you speed of quickly after all of the above because you gotta let people know the power of a BMW engine
Classic

So Maju forest lives… sort of
Seems like the government heard the protests and have increased parts of the forests to be retained from 8 hectares → 10 hectares
Not sure if that’s considered a win or wayang
But we’ll take what we can I guess

The duality of Singapore as a “Green City”
On one hand, we signed a pledge to end deforestation
On the other, we’re clearing Maju forest for more land

Agreed a 100%. In fact, comparing Vietnam’s growth to Indonesia feels somewhat diatespectful 😂
Not only are the Vietnamese the most driven, they’re also the nicest people I’ve ever come across especially in SEA
A couple months back, my wife went for a massage in Vietnam and rather than asking for tips, they gave her a red packet
They actually GAVE her MONEY to thank her for patronising
I mean what the f*ck
I’ve also been fortunate enough to experience being hosted by Vietnamese friends and they’re truly, one of the most hospitable people I’ve ever come across
Combine that with the grit and hustle they have?
Yeah Vietnam’s gonna become the next big thing within the next decade

Vietnam is the most driven nation in SEA. Full stop.
VN will catch up with Thailand, or even Malaysia, in GDP per capita within a few decades. Barring any major political turmoil.
Their kids are crushing it in international Olympiads. No wonder Singapore gahmen has been giving right Vietnamese kids.
Their hunger even rivals China’s.
A friend from Shenzhen once told me: Chinese factory workers can do 996 sitting down. Vietnamese workers? They’ll do the same standing up.

I do miss the sunsets and weather in Perth
Rarely get to see such sights in Singapore - best guess would probably be East Coast or maybe Mt Faber
Alas, we can’t have it all

For me, the worst of it all is that the couple that died had a 6 year old son
Like, how do you even deal with that? How do you even rationalise what just happened?
What’s going to happen to the kid? (news said that father’s sister will take care of him)
Is the driver’s family going to be responsible for the kid’s finances until he turns 21?
I really hope that the court, beyond giving the mfer a life sentence, is held financially responsible for everything that the kid needs
Even if it means bankrupting him
F*ck

I was going to tweet and share screenshots of a conversation I had with an Indonesian friend of mine as I wanted to check in on what’s going on in Indonesia
He originally agreed but told me to censor out his name and any other names mentioned
And then he said not to post at all you were caught talking sh*t about the government, you start receiving death threats on your social media (happened to his girlfriend)
Apparently, there’s also this thing called “buzzers” that are paid promoters to spread disinformation, and to spam replies to people talking sh*t about the government
Imagine being afraid to speak out under a “democratic” government
To the good ones in Indonesia, Singapore stands with you

Question to my Singaporean brothers and sisters:
Do any of yall go to Anytime Fitness?
There’s an outlet I frequent and the showers always smells like piss (even though there’s no urinals/toilets)
Not a complaint as I understand people pee in showers but curious if other outlets have the same thing (or smell)

There is one thing that has been truly consistent regardless of race, language, or religion...
...why is pubic hair always curly regardless of the person it's on?

People often say that there's plastic in our balls
Here in Singapore, we take it to the next level by putting balls (neurons) into balls
Lawrence Wong can you get A*Star to invent a neuron where one sperm fertilisation gets us 5 babies?
Might solve TFR

Singapore isolated this neuron and inserted it into the NEWater supply when we first launched the "Stop at Two" policy. However the scientist who pioneered the water formula passed away and now we don't know how to remove it. Hence our 0.5 TFR

As much as it's easy to sh*t on the current Singaporean government on their policies, I think it's worthy to note on how they strategically think about using media to start socialising "foreign" concepts, such as nuclear
If you've been following the news over the last couple of the media has been slowly talking more and more about nuclear power and alternative energy sources for Singapore
In my view, this is an effort by the government to slowly introduce the idea to Singaporeans, to get used to the idea of nuclear, and to not "shock the system"
It's even smarter to be using the recent Indonesia gas export incident as a 'leverage' to circle back to having to invest in nuclear energy
I don't know if it's intentional (i'm 99% sure it is) but let's see
Just my 2cs
