FACT: I-001 does not repeal Washington’s separate law allowing adolescents to request outpatient behavioral-health treatment without parental consent. RCW 71.34.530 still provides that an adolescent may request and receive outpatient treatment without parental consent; parental authorization is required for minors under 13. I-001 simply ensures that parents would be notified when medical or mental health treatments are provided to their student, but licensed mental health counselors still have the right to provide care.

In Washington you can basically self-ID at whim. In sport and on official records. Integrity of many things including data is a real risk.
Several states have passed laws or used the administrative regulatory process to keep alterations of sex markers secret. The altered sex marker on someone's birth certificate is recorded as the original, the actual original is destroyed, and there is no record of the change.
Our public records are increasingly untrustworthy as to sex identifiers.
Medical records cannot even be trusted to record this basic fact accurately.
Think about this when you see any statistic about medical conditions, crime, economics, or politics broken down by sex. Our country is closer to self-ID than TRAs are willing to admit or sex realists able to recognize.

The U.S. Supreme Court established that Title IX is based on sex rather than gender identity. Title IX was infringed upon because lawmakers decided biological sex was irrelevant. For women’s rights to exist, biological sex must take precedence. You can’t claim to be in favor of Title IX if you do not acknowledge biological sex.

The WA State LGBTQ Commission just sent an email announcing that the state's Apple Health program (Medicaid) will now cover the cost of "gender affirming" drugs and surgeries - FOR MINORS UNDER 18.
The Federal Medicaid program stopped funding these on Oct. 13th.
Apple Health will cover puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones (T and E), as well as SURGERIES for youth under 18.
According to polls, the vast majority of Americans oppose these medical procedures for minors.
Most Democrats know it is wrong to let teens interfere with their physical development, permanently modify their bodies, and make themselves sterile.
Yet the Democratic politicians in WA State are determined to enable the disfigurement of minors.
Teens under 18 still can't get a tattoo.

As an active supporter of Democrats for an Informed Approach to Gender in Washington State (@DIAGWashington), I support these initiatives. Vote YES on I-638 (girls' sports) and I-001 (parents' rights)!
The Colorado and Washington state voter referendums are the single best chance that anyone will ever have to turn the tide on the trans issue in Blue States.
Polling shows that clear majorities of Democrats join with strong majorities of independents and overwhelming majorities of Republicans in opposing the imposition of men and boys into girls and women's sports and the chemical castration of confused children.
Democrats have until now obstinately refused to represent the views of their own voters -- this is the best chance for all voters to register their preferences on this question and this question alone, apart from their other partisan and policy commitments. If they answer the question on the merits, and avoid being propagandized by gaslighting campaigns (such as false claims that sex verification requires "genital checks"), they have a golden opportunity that may not come again to remove this divisive issue from the political agenda by resolving it through an act of popular will.
A great many Democrats -- indeed a majority of them -- will be relieved if and when this happens.
