You can only smile walking through #AvondaleES on a day where scholars dress up for their future. The Fall festivities continued in the classes with #STEM challenges & engaging activities. Parents even popped into the PreK room to help out. It was a beautiful day!

SO to @STEMIndianCreek for rolling out the orange carpet for the district team walking the building for a #STEM Certification status check. We saw an impressive presentation and then went into classrooms. Kudos to the staff for their level of instructional engagement.

I ended the day supporting the #STEMAcademy at Dr. Ronald E. McNair MS discussing the past, present, and future. We’re making a plan that involves increased engagement at all levels.

This is what teacher support looks like…live and in living color. We are deep in #STEM recertification preparations. Today the team from @DCSDWadsworth and the STEM lead from @AshfordParkES came to AIC for focused work time. We found an empty room and made it happen.

I ended my day on a positive note with the amazing staff @STEMIndianCreek presenting on #STEM #interactivenotebooks. We discussed how visual literacy & thinking routines can be elevate instruction. The staff were fabulous in pink in support of #BreastCancerAwareness.
