Steve Kerr compares what Steph Curry is still doing at 38 years old to Michael Jordan:

"Honestly, it really does remind me of what it was like to play with Michael Jordan back in the day. Every single night you just are amazed and you marvel at what he's capable of doing no does, but also just the longevity of it. To see the night after night, defenses doing everything possible to slow Steph down like they did with Michael, and yet the love for the game, the competitiveness, the passion, the desire to put on a show for the fans, there's such great comparisons to be made there. And yes, as a teammate or as a coach, it feels like you get to experience the thrill of seeing them do their thing night in and night out and it never gets old."

Warriors players/coaches seem to have moved on from the idea that Porzingis will be back with the team. They are hopeful that he can get healthy, but aren't expecting him back on the floor.

The only real question remains whether org. can move his salary slot before deadline?

Asked Steve Kerr this afternoon if he is expecting Kristaps Porzingis to be back at all with Warriors this year.

“I have no idea. So, all I’m doing is just coaching the guys who are here, and I’m excited about it.”

Asked him if he felt center rotation could use another body til there’s any sort of decisions to make, I don’t even give that any thought. We have a lot of depth.”

I’m past the blaming part, front office got themselves in this situation and they should do whatever it takes to get out of it ASAP.

They have the assets to do it and there should be no excuses, plain and simple.
Who gets the blame for the Porzingis debacle?

give up some picks and there’s so many players in that salary range that could help the team now 🤷‍♂️
The Warriors are not delivering payments to Kristaps Porzingis on his $20 million salary, ruling that he is not rendering services, sources tell me and @anthonyVslater. Golden State is permitted to move his contract at any point before the Feb. 11 deadline even without paying him currently, and will continue exhausting trade avenues as the 31-year-old leans toward ending his NBA career.

Absorbing Porzingis' near-expiring deal would allow a rival team to move a salary out and save money and clear a roster spot via a buyout.

started season 0-3
$90 million+ minimum sidelined on any given night
7 different starting lineups in 8 games

5 game win streak led by a 38 year old and a rookie 🤯
Do people understand how crazy these Warriors wins are?

Last night Jimmy, Moody, KP, Gui, Brandon Williams, and Horford were out and Dray got ejected

That’s like 80% of the team out dude

(And it was the 2nd night of a back to back)

.@ShamsCharania talks about Yaxel:

"Yaxel is the real deal. He's changed their entire outlook this year. I mean the fact that he's been able to come in, already be a #1 option. I mean he's playing like an All-Star already right off the bat. There hasn't been an All-Star as a fin. Yaxel, right now the way he's leading this team, I don't think anyone could've expected this and so he's been dominant honestly. I was watching the game the other night when he had 37 points, this guy is already turning heads in Golden State and he's changed their entire trajectory."

It's very convenient that our next matchup is vs. the Heat. Draymond gets up for the Giannis assignment and there's familiar faces in Wiggins and Klay. Let's see how Dray responds 🤷‍♂️

LeBron on if Steph Curry's scouting report has changed over the years:

"It's hard because every time you play Golden State, he's still #1 on the scouting report, #1 and #2. It's like you have to pick him up, you have to find him early in transition, with the ball, and even more If you pick him up too high in the backcourt, then you got to watch for Draymond because there's going to be a pick in the backcourt, and if the big isn't up, he's shooting it, but there's not much that has changed. You look at his conditioning, he's still in super-ultra condition. If anything, would it be just the attacks at the rim maybe, like the rest of us? But he's still super efficient. He still shoots the ball better than anybody in the league. The guy seems like he never gets tired. Not much has changed, not much has changed."
