Need a little reassurance about $NBIS?

Read a few more examples of why I believe this company has what it takes to succeed.

Might help you sleep better at night.

Chill and hold $NBIS. 😎
⚠️ Listen up, $NBIS holders.

@nebiusai may have become an independent company in 2024, but it was NOT built from scratch.

Nebius inherited technology, engineering expertise and infrastructure from Yandex. Its engineering foundation includes approximately 1,000 experienced engineers with roots at Yandex.

We're talking about FAANG-level engineering talent, particularly in software engineering, distributed systems, machine learning and cloud infrastructure.

And under Arkady Volozh, these teams have a proven track record of competing with FAANG and other major technology companies.

Here are a few examples of Yandex successfully competing with some of the world's biggest technology companies in its home market:

Yandex Search beat Google $GOOG, capturing nearly 60% of search traffic in 2021 versus Google's 38%. This is my favorite example.

Yandex Kinopoisk overtook Netflix $NFLX, even before Netflix exited the country.

Yandex Taxi successfully competed with Uber $UBER, eventually combining their regional businesses in a joint venture controlled by Yandex (59.3%).

Yandex Music beat Spotify $SPOT, with 59% reported usage versus Spotify's 36% in a 2021 survey. That's approximately 64% higher usage.

All of these achievements came before the geopolitical events of 2022 that ultimately led to Nebius separating from Yandex in 2024.

I want you to keep this in mind the next time you make an investment decision in this space.

And I would argue that major customers evaluating Nebius are well aware of the engineering expertise and track record behind the company.

Nebius may be a young company, but the people building it are anything but inexperienced.

That distinction matters when evaluating $NBIS against its competitors.

Nebius is making an interesting bet on the AI boom, which im seeing more ppl consider.

it says it could sell all its 2027 GPU capacity today. but it's deliberately holding some back, betting that customers needing GPUs urgently will pay much higher prices.

seems rational.. gpu providers is up 27% from jul-oct.

Nebius also has $12B of dedicated Meta contracts, plus an arrangement for Meta to buy certain unsold capacity. so it's not entirely exposed to spot demand.

but also consider the financing side.
on Oct 17, Nebius signed a $3.5B secured bridge facility that matures in just 364 days. interest starts at SOFR + 2.75%, then steps up 25bps every 90 days, reaching as high as +3.5%.

think about that.

Nebius is keeping some compute capacity available to capture higher short-term prices, while using short-term debt to finance its expansion.

that works beautifully while GPU demand is tight and capital is available.

but i wonder whether Nebius can replace that bridge with cheaper, longer-duration financing before GPU rental prices (potentially) soften? the upside is capturing scarcity pricing. the risk is needing fresh capital when scarcity no longer commands a premium.

That's the trade I'm watching in $NBIS.

People think $NVDA invested in $NBIS without business case. Funny.

Usually, when I see more and more people suddenly trying to time the market, i tend to think that market sentiment may be approaching a turning point.

I believe we're getting closer to the bottom of this selloff than many people realize.

It took $NBIS only about a week to gain $130 after its July selloff.

Now imagine what the next rebound could look like if a short squeeze kicks in.

This one will be much more explosive. 🚀

$NBIS most recent price target update.

On Thursday, October 22, Bank of America reiterated its Buy rating and $310 price target for Nebius. This was a reaffirmation, not a new target increase, but still a bullish signal amid the recent selloff.

Finally closed my $META short position!

What was supposed to be a quick trade took much longer than expected.

Profit: $525

Shorted $META for a very quick coffee money ☕.

This will be a quick play. I'm still bullish on it.

Closed my @Venmo account. Some of the worst customer service I've ever experienced. They couldn't even help with a simple inquiry.

I think there's a reasonable chance $NBIS closes today in the important $175–$180 zone.

$NBIS bears are losing today so far. Selling volume has declined since the morning dive. So far, they've failed to break 200-period moving average after multiple attempts. MACD is also improving. Essentially, we're looking at what appears to be healthy consolidation right now.
