Can you love Jesus, serve in your church, and still secretly struggle with pornography addiction?
For years, Author Rebecca J, Riley lived that reality.
In Episode 22 of The Personal Freedom Podcast, Rebecca shares her powerful story of addiction, religious shame, childhood trauma, and discovering freedom through God's grace.
We discuss why shame keeps so many people suffering in silence—and why freedom requires more than simply trying harder.

Beautiful photos from Mayniac!
A week in the mountains with family, and the quiet hours I slipped away for.
Up before everyone on Tuesday, with fog still sitting on the peaks and the last of the fall colour hanging on before the snow. By afternoon it had burned off clear, and a Steller's jay came in close
Rocky Mountain National Park, October 2026.
A few frames from our last trip (I'm still going through the rest), shared between chapters of I Remain. If you're new here, it's a true story I'm telling in chapters. Chapter 1 is pinned on my page, and Chapter 2 comes out tonight!

I think it’s become increasingly clear that our modern system of government, particularly over the past 20 years, has moved far closer to authoritarianism than libertarianism — and, in many respects, closer to socialism than free-market capitalism.
We’ve witnessed an expansion of government power, increased regulation, corporate favoritism, growing dependency on the state, and a steady erosion of individual liberty.
Yet we continue arguing about capitalism vs. socialism while largely ignoring the more fundamental question:
Are we moving toward greater liberty or greater authoritarianism?
A government that increasingly controls the economy, restricts individual choice, and picks winners and losers is hardly a champion of the free market.
And neither political party gets a free pass.
This is what @prolibertypod writes about in his book and what we discussed last night in our recording for the Personal Freedom Podcast (out in a couple of weeks).

Just got done recording with @prolibertypod, Alex Bernardo - what a brilliant and humble man - someone who represents us Christians in a great light.
We had a robust discussion about Politics, Economics, and Christian Faith - most topics stemming from his newly released book - d New Testament Interpretation.
If you are a Bible/Politics/Economics Nerd - this is a no brainer buy. And even if you are not, I think this will challenge many assumptions in a healthy way.
One of my favorite aspects of his book is how he reframes the political conversation — moving beyond the traditional capitalism vs. socialism debate toward a deeper discussion about authoritarianism vs. liberty, while examining how our interpretations of Scripture shape our understanding of political authority, economic systems, and the freedom we have in Christ.
It challenges us to consider not only what we believe about politics and economics, but also whether those beliefs are genuinely rooted in Scripture or shaped by the political and cultural assumptions we've inherited.
Exactly the kind of conversation I love having on The Personal Freedom Podcast.
Stay tuned for this one! And in the meantime, pick up a copy of Alex's book so you can dive into these ideas before the episode drops!

We had a big party for my dad’s 65th tonight. The house was filled up with friends and family.
Quite the day!
At one point, my aunts were talking about our late Grandpa and Grandma — and how Grandpa has been sending signs, yet they were still waiting for Grandma to share a that instant, a champagne bottle popped on its own, with no assistance.
Everyone in the kitchen jumped back in shock looking at this overflowing bottle.
My Grandmother’s name was Ann.
One of those moments you’ll never forget!

Who is “we”? Who is making the fortune?
Trump here does a widdle baby voice to mock people who are complaining about high gas prices, explaining that the oil and gas industry is making “hundreds of billions, trillions.”
It’s never been clearer how much he hates the people who voted for him.
