Thank you to the 60 players who joined us Saturday at HVAC for the 2026 CWB Players Draft. What a night!

It was great to see so many players and families in the building as we recognized each player.

College coaches want a heads-up before a kid commits somewhere else. Then some go months without answering that same kid.

It has to go both ways. Agree or disagree? @MARubenstein1 is on his soapbox.

New CWB Podcast with @CoachFarner drops Monday. #MIBaseball

Happy Halloween from Cold Weather Bats. Every Michigan ballplayer has a horror story: the 8 a.m. game at 38 degrees, the wind blowing straight in, the snow-out on Opening Day, the bat sting that lasts until May. And then there's the one in the record book: Blissfield and Hudson s two days in 2019, and Blissfield won 1-0. What's yours? Tell us below and tag the teammate who was there.

No. 68 in the 2027 #CWBTop100: Lamphere 1B/LHP Gavin Abbott (2027) @LHShardball

A 6-2 lefty who plays first and takes the ball, up to 83 from the left side. Full breakdown: patreon.com/ColdWeatherBats

60 straight scoreless innings in 2018, still the Michigan record, and @CoachFarner didn't tell his team until it was over.

Our full conversation with the Hall of Famer drops Monday on the CWB Podcast. #MIBaseball

No. 69 in the 2027 #CWBTop100: Grosse Pointe North RHP/OF Zane Hemler (2028) @ZaneHemler2028 @GPN_NorsemenBB

Up to 88.2 with a fastball that spins at 2,375 rpm. Full breakdown: patreon.com/ColdWeatherBats

Field Friday: Warriors Park, home of @BRiceBaseball.

Built without a dollar from the school, then DJ LeMahieu bought it and leases it back to Rice for $1 a year. Turf infield, a grandstand that wraps home plate, and one knock: it's a bandbox. Our score: 8.7.

Which field is next? #FieldFriday

Next on the CWB Podcast: Hall of Famer @CoachFarner, who took Woodhaven from zero district titles to two Division 1 Finals. New episode drops Monday, November 2.
