Someone just vibe-coded alternatives to Microsoft Office AND Adobe Creative Cloud.

Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, and more.

All free. All open source.

If one developer can build all this with AI, what happens to software companies charging us es?

@CodeWithTamara Ultimately, I think the big SaaS companies die off. They have a decent runway because there's such wide adoption for these in enterprise settings... Especially the Microsoft bundles that most companies run on with Windows. The non-Microsoft companies are probably in trouble

@80Kintsugi That's the only leverage Microsoft has. They came first, conquered, allowed piracy (1 CD circulating in a company) and now they're more difficult to get rid of than fungus growing on nails.

@CodeWithTamara That would have been done by copying and pasting but the features and hard work would not have been done.

@CodeWithTamara Going to go the same way as many other subscription models, where people are just too lazy or too daft to do it themselves or find alternatives.

Plus - there was a day when Office and Adobe products did cost $1,000+ sums every couple of years for the current version.

@CodeWithTamara They aren't real alternatives. VectorCraft, for example, has nothing to do with Illustrator. I tried it out and it's so bad that I uninstalled it the next day. This is all fluff.
