Sam Akot, a former Buffalo Division I transfer now playing at Cloud County Community College, is a sophomore guard/wing who brings valuable versatility on both ends of the floor. With two years of eligibility remaining and a strong 3.7 GPA, Akot is already drawing interest from grams. Competing in the KJCCC, Akot is averaging 7.2 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 1 steal per game while shooting an efficient 43.4% from the field, 35% from three, and 73.2% from the free throw line. The London, Ontario native continues to prove he can impact winning in a variety of ways beyond the stat sheet. Offensively, Akot’s versatility is a major asset. He can knock down perimeter jump shots, crash the glass for second-chance opportunities, and finish effectively in transition. Whether in the open floor or in half-court sets, he plays with a high motor and understands how to contribute within the flow of the game. Defensively, Akot stands out with his ability to guard multiple positions. He moves his feet well, stays in front of opposing players, and consistently contests shots both on the perimeter and at the rim. His instincts as a help defender are especially impressive, showing a strong feel for when to attack the ball and create turnovers when offenses least expect it. With his two-way ability and continued development, Akot is a name to watch as a rising JUCO prospect attracting Division I attention @Sam_Akot @Uorangemen2 @TransferPortal @CloudCounty_MBB @31kp
