Thrilled to share that I have been awarded a Future Leaders Fellowship! 🤩
I am grateful to my colleagues @CamBiochem for their support and to the @UKRI_News for believing in me and funding this project!
Stay tuned for Research Assistant and Associate positions available!

Happy to share our newest publication! 🤩
We found that DNA and RNA behave differently in primitive coacervates: RNA makes them more stable, DNA more fluid. Both properties are key for non-enzymatic DNA replication!
An incredible teamwork 😊

If you are ready to start your independent career in anything “supramolecular”, then you should apply for this position! That’s where I took my first steps as a group leader - you should as well 😊 Bonus: top colleagues! If you have questions, feel free to reach out!
Our Institute has an opening for a junior group leader, in any area of chemistry: shorturl.at/NtE9F

That's how I started my group, and I think it's a wonderful opportunity.

Curious about ubiquitous interactions between modern nucleic acids and proteins, we show they likely emerged early on in the evolutionary timeline due to the seemingly inevitability of nucleic acids and peptides to co-localise via coacervation!

We find that RNA forms more stable coacervates with peptides as short as di- and tripeptides, but DNA makes coacervates more fluid (and more prone to host functional RNA)! Thanks to all collaborators who made all this possible!!! @rcollepardo @OFlahertyLab @rogerrubio 😊

So excited to finally share this! Most of the merit goes to my amazing team and friends/colleagues who helped me get to this point! Now ready for new (well funded!) adventures @CamBiochem and @CorpusCambridge 🤩
Congratulations to @ClaudiaBonfio on her award of an @ERC_Research Starting Grant #ERCStG. We are very excited to welcome her back to @Cambridge_Uni as a research group leader and about her ground-breaking research to uncover the origins of cell membranes: bioc.cam.ac.uk/news/claudia-b…

Have you ever wondered how *natural* lipids got selected from the “mess” generated by prebiotic chemistry? Read our new preprint to find out! Spoiler alert: the selection process is metal-driven! Kudos to 1st year PhD Krishna and all coauthors!
