Very saddened to hear about the death of Fiona McHugh, the former editor of the Sunday Times (Ireland). Fiona was a super journalist and great editor. She was also an incredibly good colleague. Sincere condolences to her family and friends.

Berlin's official city portal just wrote our film No Other Land has "antisemitic tendencies". A film that won the Berlinale and was recently invited to a special screening in the German embassy in Israel. It pains me to see how, after murdering most of my family in the holocaust, semitism of meaning to silence critics of Israel's occupation in the West Bank (the topic of our film) and legitimize violence against Palestinians. I feel unsafe and unwelcome in Berlin of 2024 as a left-wing Israeli and will take legal action.

Standing ovation in Berlin as Yuval Abraham speaks of Germany’s “shameful” abuse of the term antisemitism and its own historical responsibility

We submitted this letter to @ObserverUK regarding their decision to publish Howard Jacobsen’s piece last Sunday. @ObserverUK today published other letters taking issue with the piece, but not ours, which has a different emphasis. So, for anyone interested, we are leaving it here:

This should be on every political ecology syllabus.

'...as long as the desire, conscious and tacit, to create a settler ecology out of the ecology of Palestine continues, novel and subversive frontiers of resistance to confront it will also continue to blossom.'

From Greencastle to the Brazilian Amazon, Gaza to Shannon, beautiful account from @cenza_v of the making of international solidarity connections. Building relationships with those resisting extractive capital and imperialism is a vital task.
