⚡The "energy traps" in organic photovoltaics — spin-triplet excitons — have long been lost as heat, unable to generate electricity. #CityUHK Professor Alex Jen's team has broken a decade-long bottleneck, “turned waste into treasure” by recycling these excitons into usable charge 5% power conversion efficiency!

Two breakthroughs:
🔬 Triplet excitons re-dissociate into free charge carriers
📈 Lab efficiency has surpassed 21%, paving the way for next-gen photovoltaics

Published in Nature, bringing new hope for clean energy! 🌿
