If boxers want to be household names they gotta fight the best. Nobody cared or knew Crawford was undisputed until he fought Spence & Canelo. My mom hates sports but always knows when Canelo’s fighting. She asked me if he won & proceeded to tell me a story about Oscar in the 90’s. I xing before 2020 & I never heard of Roy, Ward or anyone else except Oscar, Canelo, Pac, Floyd & even Chavez Jr.

Canelo beating MBilli & these natural 168ers don't mean Crawford would've. Canelo has the power & chin up here. Some of them got longer reaches than Bud & Bud never fought anyone that even matched his reach. Boots can but he 🦆 him. He 🦆 anyone that matched his reach or longer like FundoraBud w/ his pressure as he's much bigger, stronger, faster & durable than Porter whom Ryan KO’s in 30 secs due to all his wild swings & defensive flaws

I understand fighters🦆 Crawford early in his career but he's always had the reach advantage. He had all the physical advantages vs Canelo too. After beating Canelo I thought he'd take on Boots who can match his reach, Fundora who got a longer reach & Vergil who beat his toughest opp better than him but he🦆 them when fighters like Oscar, Pac, Duran, etc. would've fought all 3. That's why I'll never put Bud over them.

I always said Crawford had the same effect as Canelo when people knew he was next up. Their opponents knew they were most likely signing up for an L.
The only difference between Crawford and Canelo was that the morning after the L against Canelo, you wake up a millionaire. Against Crawford, you just wake up with an L.
So most people avoided Crawford because that L with nothing tied to it wasn’t worth it. Especially when keeping that 0 is more valuable in this era
That’s why I don’t really hold Crawford’s résumé against him. It really wasn’t his fault. When he was the young lion, people didn’t give him the opportunity. Maybe now he’s just giving the same energy back. He finally proved himself, made history, and called it a career and retired.
