The general dismissal of fantasy art by art collectors at large is, to me, something that absolutely draws me to it as a subject matter. The more I dig into the genre the more I am floored by the qualities of work that has been created in that field that seem to go unloved by the highbrow world

Marrying collage with it feels like a doubling-down on the simple expression that I am simply creating what I want and what interests me. And that allows me to challenge myself in a way that pandering to a trend or 'hot' style-of-the-week does not.

Not everything i make will be fantasy art, but I dont see myself not returning to it regularly because of the simple fact I enjoy it

💫A River Of Color💫

Self-portrait taken at the Pittsfield Balloon Festival in August 2026. In order to not have other people in my photo, I had to leave the land and get into the water. It ended up being the best decision aesthetically, however, wearing an astronaut suit in a he next day, unbeknownst to me (my test messages were blowing up and I found out from friends) local radio and news stations were talking about me doing this.

I watch everyone attend all these events from afar. From way outside looking in. It’s weird sort of being in the space but feeling like I have no place here. No voice. It’s a rough feeling. I’m struggling in life. Struggling here. I wish I could afford to go to these events but I can barely stay housed and keep my studio. I’m still taking care of my mother (some of you know she had a massive stroke back in 2021) but her health is quickly declining. Things feel so heavy and hopeless lately. I want to get back into things here but I feel like my ship has sailed years ago- I don’t even know where to re-start. I don’t know, just thinking out loud. I’m not even sure why I’m putting this out there, other than I want people to know I wish I had more of a place here but it’s hard to juggle everything and I don’t have the privilege of doing whatever it is I’m supposed to do to be fully seen.
