THE BCC HACKER HOUSE RECAP
Three days, Live products, Builders from across the ecosystem, 🇬🇭 🇹🇬 🇳🇬 🇿🇲 🇰🇪 .
Late-night builds, live streams, deep technical conversations, hiking, games, swimming …and a whole lot of community.
Here’s what went down
DAY 1 -THURSDAY
We day evening at the #NoBSZone. Builders arrived, connected, exchanged ideas and got to know one another. Then the build began.
The evening session turned into a late-night building sprint, with Kaleel (@nyuiela) taking us live and capturing the energy from Thursday night into Friday morning. If you missed it, check the stream links below.
It was the perfect way to start:
No pressure. No performance. Just builders building.
DAY 2 - FRIDAY- The Circle
Friday morning started with another live session from @nyuiela on building multiple AI agents using Dots.
By afternoon, the formal Hacker House build sessions were underway. @kwekutech streamed the action as builders went deep into sharing their projects and taking feedbacks during The Circle.
The goal wasn’t simply to talk about what could be built, it was to present what has been built and is live.

Special shoutouts to @elijahzgambo @sahadevgh @Dawoodiddris @JovellsAppiah and @nothing_seth and for the wealth of experience shared.
DAY 3 - TOUCH GRASS
After two days of intense building, it was time to step away from the screens. Day 3 was our Touch Grass Day.
We left the #NoBSZone and hiked through the Abokobi Hills towards @Ashesi .
The hike gave builders a chance to disconnect from their screens and reconnect with nature and with each other.
We reached Ashesi for snacks and games, followed by even more games, laughter, banter and eventually swimming.
It was a different kind of building, building relationships.
WHY THE HACKER HOUSE MATTERS
A strong ecosystem isn’t built by events alone.
It’s built by people who know each other. People who collaborate. People who share knowledge. People who challenge each other. People who build together.
The @BCC_Ghana Hacker House was designed to create exactly that environment.
A place where builders could come together, work on real projects, exchange ideas, find collaborators and create memories outside the usual conference format.
And that’s exactly what happened.
The Hacker House was more than a hackathon. It was a shared experience.
A builder community in action.
To everyone who showed up, built, shared, streamed, documented, collaborated and touched grass with us:
Thank you.
And to the builders working on your products, Keep building.
The house may be over. The building isn’t.

This Friday, we’re talking about what it really takes to keep going as a builder.
From prototype to product, the journey takes more than a great idea. It takes consistency, learning, and the courage to keep building.
Join the conversation with @pogakuofie and @ImmanuelNFT, his Friday at 7 PM GMT on X Spaces.
Let’s keep building.

From prototype to product, the real work is in what happens next.
How do we move beyond building something that works to creating products that solve real problems, serve users, and stand the test of time?

For 14 days I hosted Stellar 14, online and in person in Accra. 40 developers built together, shipped a lot of pull requests, and closed it out with a Demo Day where 8 projects pitched to judges.
Along the way we trained about 127 people, and I got so much feedback from folks like this and get their projects onto Stellar.
Now we move to the next stage: mentoring these teams and helping them ship. #Stellar #Soroban

I'm looking for 10 National Service personnel to join the Growth Team at @seevcash.
In the past few months, an overwhelming number of businesses and individuals joined our community of customers. A lot of you found us through X and through advocates who've been spreading the word. Thank you.
We want to keep that momentum going by building closer relationships with customers and making sure their feedback shapes the product directly.
Interested? Send a DM to @SeevCash. If you know someone who'd thrive here, retweet this so it reaches them. @kwekutech @GDGAccra @dsgnbyOmar @blcvkman

I keep watching Rust developers in Accra learn faster by breaking real code than by reading docs, so on Saturday 10 Oct at Payaza Africa in Labone I handed teams a Rust wallet and a Soroban contract with 16 planted bugs and let them hunt.
In 3 hours they opened 88 pull requests, orks, and every team fixed all 16 bugs. Team Jollof won ahead of Kelewele and Kente, and our Content Crew covered the day for people who prefer telling the story to writing code. Thanks @BuildOnStellar for the tools that made it possible.
Demo Day is this Saturday 17 Oct with up to 15,000 XLM, and the top 2 projects get nominated for the SDF Instaward. Submissions close Fri 16 Oct 11:59pm GMT. What are you bringing?
