I believe in applying “my body, my choice” equally.

Everyone deserves the right to an intact body.

For those new here, I’m reading the Bible cover to cover and tweeting as I go.

I developed a love for the world’s religious texts after reading the Bhagavad Gita and falling in love with it. If you haven’t read it, I highly recommend it. I’ll link a YouTube video for non-readers.

It showed me beautiful ideas in other cultures that I want to learn. We may be more alike than different, yet often angry at each other without knowing why.

Answers to common questions:

- No, I don’t support a political party—politics is stupid (I used to be in it, so I know).

- No, I don’t have a religion. I found God (the Universe, Source) other ways. I’m reading religious works to learn what others believe, as I believe God led me here.

- Yes, I’m married.

- Yes, I have kids, but they’re adults, so I don’t need to attend to them.

If this offends you, scroll on, mute, or block me. I never want to offend with my thinking.

This feed is a diary for throwing out ideas and interacting with others’. A sort of Socratic learning.

Welcome.

If you believe in the Bible, how can you justify ICE and the subjugation of foreigners in America?

"You must not exploit a foreign resident or oppress him, since you were foreigners in the land of Egypt." (Exodus 22)

C.S. Lewis, in Mere Christianity, Book 4, Chapter 3, says:

“You will notice that the sting lay in the time words: ‘While He was a baby’—‘How could He at the same time?’ In other words, I was assuming that Christ’s life as God was in time, and that His life as the man Jesus in Palestine was a shorter period taken out of that time—just as my service in the army was a shorter period taken out of my total life.”

What stood out is that a book published in 1952, originally discussed on the air by C.S. Lewis in 1941, calls the place where Jesus walked Palestine.

Why am I told today that Palestine didn’t exist, when it has long been known that Jesus walked the Earth in Palestine?

I wonder what God would think of policies that not only mistreat fatherless children but are deliberately designed to create more fatherless children.

How can the U.S. claim to be a Christian nation while implementing policies that directly contradict biblical principles?

A nation cannot claim to uphold biblical values while enacting policies that undermine them.

“You shall not mistreat any widow or fatherless child.” — Exodus 22:22–24

This is Brenan and Sydney Schneidermann. Their infant son Walker died of complex medical conditions. Sydney is facing life in prison for murdering him, despite all medical evidence showing he died of natural causes.

Multiple independent medical experts reviewed Walker's entire s and autopsy, and found that his medical conditions caused his death. The examiner who performed the autopsy never reviewed that evidence and diagnosed him with either Shaken Baby Syndrome or Abusive Head Trauma instead.

When Brenan and Sydney found Walker unresponsive, they did what any loving parents would do and got him medical care right away. Sadly, he didn't survive. Instead of being allowed to mourn him, they were both charged with killing him.

After more than a year in family court, their case was closed, their daughter came home, and Brenan's charges were dropped. Prosecutors are still pressing forward against Sydney anyway. She faces life without parole and the possibility of never seeing her daughter again.

This has been going on for over 2 years.

We've gotten charges dropped and nightmares ended for many families like this one, and we're going to do it for Sydney too. Below, I'll show you how to help for free in just a couple of minutes.

But in reality, a handful of people at the top control the entire game and keep us arguing among ourselves while they do whatever they’re doing: wars, genocides, child trafficking… you name it!
So, basically, 500 million Europeans expect 300 million Americans to protect them from 120 million Russians who can’t even defeat 40 million Ukrainians while those 500 million Europeans don’t even realize they are being conquered by 2 billion Muslims who claim they are being persecuted by 8 million Israelis. Is that about right?

Tonight I experienced the adult version of “Mom, I need a poster” at 10 pm the night before it’s due.

Son: Do you have eyeliner?

Me: What kind do you need? I have liquid.

Son: I’m not sure.

Me: *looks at son’s face* What did you do?

Son: I wanted to try this (shows me TikTok on his phone) on my face to go out with my friends. It’s Halloween!

Me: Oh! You’ve come to the right place. Mom’s been doing her makeup for 30+ years.

I didn’t get a photo of my work, but I pulled a skeleton makeup look out of my ass in less than 20 minutes.

It was an epic mom-to-the-rescue moment! 🏆

Can someone explain the Zipporah thing? WTF?

In Exodus 4, Zipporah grabs a flint knife, cuts off her son’s foreskin, touches it to Moses’ feet, and says, “Surely you are a bridegroom of blood to me.”

Another WTF is the Bible’s obsession with foreskin. Less than 6% into reading it, circumcision and foreskin appear in 17 verses.

I feel like someone’s pranking me.

This is what people believe?

No wonder the world’s so messed up.

How easy is it for a woman to get a man to pass out and then have her way with him?

Yesterday I told my husband the Genesis story of Lot’s daughters doing exactly that to their father so they could get pregnant.

He laughed and said, “Sounds like Lot’s telling the story! ‘Honey, I swear I didn’t do anything. It was all them!’”

He has a point.

I've been live-tweeting my way through the Bible, and I'm genuinely baffled by how many Christians are upset about it. I'm reading the major religious texts of the world to learn, understand, and discuss them, not to offend anyone. The Old Testament isn't even exclusively their book; I'll get to the New Testament in due course.

The Quran and other sacred texts are on my reading list, too. I'm curious to see how each religious community responds. There's something rather extraordinary about people becoming offended by someone else's attempt to understand their beliefs. If your faith is so fragile that someone reading your holy book and discussing its contents feels like an attack, perhaps the problem isn't the reader.

Which religious group do you think is least comfortable with its beliefs being examined?

Boy, am I glad the Lord of the Bible isn't around turning all our rivers and lakes into blood, as he did in Egypt during the first of the ten plagues (Exodus 7:14–24).

Although, come to think of it, we have plenty of people and corporations trying to pollute our rivers and lakes already.

Does that mean they're doing the Lord's work?

I honestly don’t care which “team” wins on Tuesday.

Why?

Regardless of who wins, gas and food will still be expensive, Epstein’s entire crew is still free (minus Ghislaine, who obviously trafficked children to no one), the war in Iran will still be on the table, and babies in Palestine will still be killed.

F your teams - I’m team humanity.

A: “The Bible is the word of God”

Q: the Bible says men lived over a thousand years

A: you can’t take everything the Bible says literally.

Please explain this to me.
