I like October. A lot of things happen in October.
I fell in love. I got hurt. I got better. I think I also got food poisoning once, but that was classified.
Someone once told me to trust them because they loved me. I did. Then they left when things got difficult. I've learned that people will hold your hand until they don't want to anymore. That's why I keep my hands in my pockets now.
I spent some time with myself. Turns out, I'm not that bad.

You don't even need words anymore. Just a blurry image, a deeply concerning meme or some random piece of digital nonsense that would make absolutely no sense to anyone else. And somehow, your people get it. Instantly.
That's how you know they're good people. Or dangerous. Usually both
Finding people whose brains have taken the same wrong turn as mine has worked really well for me. These are the people who don't need an explanation, a setup or even a coherent thought. They just understand the assignment, despite there being no assignment.
That's a gift I don't take lightly.
And honestly, I think that's friendship. Or a shared neurological incident. Either way, I'm grateful.
