Today’s deleted sarcastic comment was that I didn’t reply to someone on how to run the SQL Server 2019 service as root on a Docker container. That’s because, “annoyed”, you shouldn’t do it. I’m not going to help you make your environment less secure. Especially in 2022.

I was able to find this information on Microsoft’s Docs (“Run the non-root container as the root user”). Do people not know how to use a search engine, and expect all this information to be provided to them without lifting a proverbial finger? It takes longer to comment!

There’s a bunch of good reasons why you shouldn’t do stuff as the root user or Windows administrator. Learn those reasons.

Got a comment saying my most recent blog post was click bait and a waste of time. I deleted it because it’s my website. If you don’t like it, write your own.

@BornSQL Good job. I really don’t get people who take their time to comment something is a waste of time. Well, if it’s a waste of time just move on a don’t spent any more second on it. It doesn’t mean it’s a waste of time for everyone else.

@marcingminski I didn’t think it was clickbait anyway. Don’t change your port 1433 for security reasons. It’s good advice.
