Last time the market didn't properly sell off after a huge event like this was the FTX collapse
When I saw the lack of follow through then I got giga bullish
And we subsequently went from 16k to 100k
Hard to be bearish here after having been given the same setup yet again

🚨BREAKING: OpenAI is preparing a policy and PR blitz immediately after Tuesday’s midterm elections, Axios reports. As public backlash against data centers grows, it wants to rebrand them as “AI compute campuses” and push Congress for mandatory “speed limits” on the most powerful stockpiling proposals since August.
OpenAI is also preparing for the possibility of Democrats taking the House and wants to shape the debate ahead of the 2028 presidential race. Its chief global affairs officer Chris Lehane told Axios: “AI is going to be the issue in 2028.”

People who say that humans will remain in the loop because someone needs to remain accountable for behaviour are not thinking clearly.
It is very obvious that the same liability and insurance schemes invented for humans will be developed for AI Agents.
Accountability presumes authority and competence, a human in the loop ticking off whatever AI output hits their desk will have neither.

Anthropic is going all in.
Looks like we’re getting BOTH Fable 5.5 and Mythos 5.5 next week.
This could either be a very rough week for OpenAI or a massive win, depending on how hard they cooked with GPT-6.2 Astra.

basically this
The White underclass is a miracle, and probably why the West has succeeded.
Thomas Frank wrote “What’s the Matter with Kansas” to explore why poor Whites don’t vote for socialist policies that would (narrowly, in the short-term) benefit them. Of course he concluded it was about racism, as he was predetermined to do by his ideology.
But I actually think he highlighted an incredibly important fact: poor White Americans, uniquely among underclasses globally, don’t vote for socialism.
The typical dynamic is rich people trying to keep what they have and poor people trying to take it. But the American lower-class White does not behave this way, because he has a deontological aversion to government interference. The collection of attitudes and beliefs described as “rugged individualism” are often assessed in terms of how they impact the individual, but I think it’s much more important to consider how they impact a nation.
(White) America has the world’s least resentful or grasping underclass. This is a treasure. They should be preserved and rewarded. Many might be net-negative fiscally in a narrow sense, but they are hugely net-positive if you consider their votes. Trump famously said “I love the poorly educated.” He was right to say this. Every nation has an elite. No other nation has such a high quality of virtuous common people.

One reason I am sanguine about the technological singularity is that I have seen it coming for over 50 years. In 1975, when I was 17, I wrote:
"Before man can most effectively aid his problem solving machinery, he must first understand it. At present, his understanding is very poor. However, when the breakthrough in understanding the brain occurs, improvement will come very fast and in an exponential increase. Once man has created an intelligence greater than his own, that intelligence should be able to create an intelligence greater than itself, as man whose intelligence is less than its was able to create its intelligence. Thus, the level of intelligence will shoot up with incredible rapidity, probably within the space of years. Within a few years of a breakthrough, which may occur any time now, man will either have been left behind by a superior intelligence of his own making, which he can no longer understand, or he will have become that intelligence and will no longer be like anything imaginable today."

Fingers crossed.
Drunkenmiller and Musk are both bullish on crypto while bear clowns like Jason & Arthur + most CT pepes are still shaking in their boots
The greatest bull run in the history of crypto is approaching and the fact that noone is even willing to talk about it when all the evidence is here, tells me everything I need to know 🎯

Fuck human slop.
Human-coded slop is becoming unbearable.
Buggy software, terrible UX, features nobody asked for, and updates that somehow make everything worse.
And worst part is you have to wait six months for a team of 20 people to fix something an AI agent could solve in 30 seconds.
We tolerated human slop because we had no alternative.
Now we do.

AI is performing brain surgery now.
Last night an AI agent performed brain surgery on a mouse.
We gave it 19 gene therapy vectors in a spreadsheet, a mouse model of epilepsy, access to a motorize surgery rig with cameras and one goal: reduce seizures.
It picked the drug. It picked the brain region. It derived the papers. Then it drove the stereotaxic arms into the brain and injected 250 nanolitres while watching the entry site through the rig camera for bleeding.
A licensed vet gated every irreversible step and held a physical kill switch to stop the AI agent.
Thread on what it decided, what it saw, and the moment it refused to let me override it.
[Writing this on the spot out of excitement, but I've been 18hrs in front of my laptop coding and coordinating this, so keeping it brief and descriptive, more cohesive thoughts on this soon...]

Terra 6.1 (Ultra) is supposed to be fast at computer/browser use, correct?
Whatever I have it do... it's slow as molasses.
Takes 10 minutes to upload a single Insta video, and it's not even half way.
I just switched it to fast mode. Still slow as shit.
I don't get what's so great about it.

Be careful out there.
You are being manipulated.
You are being manipulated.
A Russian bot forgot to switch its account from MAGA to "Ukrainian." 😀
This is how Russians simulate public opinion and pressure politicians into adopting a pro-Russian stance—leading them to believe that this is what their electorate demands. That is why it is important to penly.

Give this guy a follow, he's got some seriously sharp takes.
I’m starting to think “AI slop” is just a coping mechanism for mediocre people.
For years, being able to write code, design a website, or produce decent content made you valuable.
Now a $20 subscription can do much of that.
Suddenly everyone is deeply concerned about quality, craftsmanship, and the human touch.
Funny how those concerns became so important the moment their skills stopped being scarce.
AI isn’t destroying creativity.
It’s destroying the ability to charge a premium for mediocrity.
