She be correct babe😀
Reminds me of some guy who was balling and took his then fiancée to meet his mom for the first time. When they got there she found the family in a horrible mess. The family’s reality didn’t reflect the guy’s reality. Driving Benz, spending money in clubs but his mom was selling roasted corn.
She ended the relationship right there and told him to go take care of his family.

No!!! I will NOT marry a man that isn’t family Oriented. Infact, I will judge you with the relationship you have with your siblings and parents. It’s NOT my duty to encourage him please. All these errands are too much🙂↔️
Sis to sis: encourage your husband to take care of his family especially his parents, e get plenty WHYsssss👌

Over the weekend, a colleague spotted my name at number 62 on the contributors’ list of a One Health Risk Communication & Community Engagement Training Manual. 😂
It took me back to a 2021 training where we made contributions. I never knew they were used!
Five years later, a beaucontributions matter, even when we don’t immediately see the impact.
Health advocacy journey continues! ❤️

An ideal home❤️
Absolutely. And sis to sis, encourage your husband to take care of YOUR parents too. E get plenty WHYs as well. 😂
Marriage joins two families, not just the man’s family. Both sets of parents deserve love, care, and consideration. Nobody’s parents are more important simply because they gave birth to the husband. I encourage my husband to take care of his parent but he doesn’t need me to say anything. He is smart enough.

TO EVERY WOMAN REBUILDING HER LIFE, HEAR ME CLEARLY Yet again!
Some people were comfortable when you were broken, struggling, crying behind closed doors and carrying responsibilities alone.
But the moment you begin to heal, earn, educate yourself and regain your confidence, HREAT!
A THREAT TO WHOM, EXACTLY?
Since when did encouraging a woman to earn an honest living become rebellion?
Since when did financial independence become disobedience?
Since when did helping a divorced mother rebuild her life become an attack on men, marriage or Islam?
STOP USING RELIGION AND CULTURE TO JUSTIFY THE OPPRESSION OF WOMEN!
I am a proud Muslim woman. I believe in marriage, respect, responsibility and the justice Islam teaches.
Our beloved Khadijah (RA) was a respected businesswoman. Her success did not diminish her faith or marriage.
A WOMAN CAN BE RESPECTFUL WITHOUT BEING SILENCED, DEVOTED WITHOUT BEING EXPLOITED, AND STRONG WITHOUT BEING DISOBEDIENT!
To every woman facing criticism as you rebuild, STAY RESOLUTE! STAY TRUE TO YOU AND YOUR COURSE, What will be will be eventually
Pursue that education, Start that business, Earn your money,
Raise your children with dignity, Refuse intimidation! And if they insult you , Give it back, Nobody has monopoly of Madness, They usually bank on your timidity and assumptions that you will let it slide. Ma gbe Iyalayae Sepe to ba gbe oshi wa so do mi
You have survived battles your critics know absolutely nothing about.
DO NOT SURRENDER YOUR FUTURE TO PEOPLE WHO NEVER HELPED YOU CARRY YOUR BURDENS!
And to those attacking my advocacy, understand this,
I WILL NOT STOP ENCOURAGING WOMEN TO HEAL, EARN, MAKE LOADS OF MONEY Meaningfully, REBUILD AND RISE!
My advocacy is NOT against men. It is against abuse, neglect, exploitation and the normalisation of women's suffering!
No award for who suffers the most in Marriage, May God protect me from poverty and lack, Don't force it on Me, I rebuke and reject it by God's grace
A WOMAN'S FINANCIAL SECURITY IS NOT A THREAT TO MARRIAGE. HER DIGNITY IS NOT REBELLION!
May Allah strengthen every woman rebuilding her life and bless the work of her hands. Ameen. 🤲🏽
YOUR REBUILDING SEASON DESERVES YOUR COMMITMENT, NOT YOUR APOLOGY OR TIMIDITY, PRAY THAT GOD PROTECT FROM EVIL OF HIS CREATION AS YOU REBUILD, May He protect you and I from Vultures in HUman Skin
WE WILL HEAL, WE WILL RISE, WE WILL THRIVE AND EXCEL BY GOD'S GRACE💚
DIVORCED BUT NOT DEFEATED!
And I Remain Proudly

Leading a woman does not include taking her choice and voice away. If you are not comfortable with her voice and choice, do not marry her and if you do, do the honourable thing to divorce her.
As a woman, especially a Muslim woman, if you don't want your husband to lead you, don't get married.
End.

@pmnewsnigeriaf this news story is inaccurate and misleading. WHO has not declared Nigeria Ebola‑free. Nigeria currently has no confirmed case of Ebola following the medical evacuation of the index patient to Switzerland. Health officials are closely monitoring 52 contacts who may have been exposed.
Under the International Health Regulations, a country can only be declared Ebola‑free after a 42‑day countdown following the last confirmed case testing negative twice for the virus or, in this situation, after the evacuation of the confirmed case. This period is then followed by heightened surveillance.
WHO requests that this headline be retracted and corrected. It is an inaccurate interpretation of the X post made by the WHO Regional Director for Africa.

Police reportedly escorted a Black 3-year-old boy and his family off a soccer field in Winter Park, Florida, after parents complained that older children couldn’t take the ball from him.
Nevada, playing against 5-year-olds, was allegedly removed from the league for dominating s they were issued a trespass notice.
They called the police on a 3-year-old for playing too well? 🤔

There are still happy marriages and families out there. The cases that reach a lawyer, a court or a public timeline are the ones where grace, kindness and mutual accountability have already left the room. Some are redeemable and some are not. But the ones that are still holding, where people are quietly doing right by each other, raising children in relative peace and choosing the marriage every day, rarely announce themselves. Controversies trend. Stability does not.
Do not let the reality of one bad marriage, or the loudest voices of people who have only known or only experienced broken homes, become the template that shapes your own choices. Their pain is real. It is not the whole picture, and it is not your script. God did not appoint anyone the permanent ambassador of either happy or unhappy marriages. We are all just navigating.
If you want to build a home, build it. Protect its peace. Choose people who are willing to do the daily work and let other people’s unresolved wreckage remain theirs.
Live and let live.

There should be a proper discussion on this Space about how to disagree with people. The pattern of debate, argument and counter-argument on this app is not a reflection of what many people claim to be here: intellectuals.
A lot of people simply do not have the range to marshal an argument or even articulate a simple point without derailing, personalising or revealing that they lack basic home training.
Learn how to argue properly, devoid of emotion and ego. Stick to the point. If you do not have anything meaningful to add, allow those who actually have something upstairs to discuss. It is not a bad idea to be an observer or to learn from people who can think and express themselves clearly.
Disagreeing is fine. Reducing every conversation to insult, projection or performance is not. Home training still matters, even here.

I am surprised they are actually pushing back with this.
Will not having money prevent the abuse ni?
It seems we are fighting a lost battle.
Everyday , emphasis on have so you can have options but it appears they actually love being abused abd and staying with the abusers because some nonsense I have been reading is quite fascinating to say the least .

Nothing prevent abuse. Poverty or lack of personal financial freedom is why many stay in bad situations with hopes it will change. This right here is the difference. Love and dependency aren't the same thing

To those of us waiting to hear Alima’s husband’s side of the story, well, his spokesman has spoken on his behalf, for reasons best known to them. 🤷♀️
The interview was on TikTok, hosted by the man in the picture above, and I watched part of it.
According to the person speaking , Alima was allegedly disobedient. He claimed that whenever she returned from work, cars dropped her two or three houses away from their home. He also alleged that she denied her husband sex for six months, prompting the man to inform her siblings, who reportedly advised him to remove her from his visa because she might do worse once she obtained her papers.
According to this account, he did just that. 🥹
Another allegation was that Alima had an abortion.
Now, what I found interesting about the interview was how the host would raise one allegation after another and then turn to the husband’s spokesperson to ask whether it was true. 😂😂
Meanwhile, Alima reportedly asked in a comment section why her husband could not come out and tell his own side of the story himself. She said the man should come forward and speak with his full chest.
And honestly, since we are hearing all these claims through a representative, we hope the husband will eventually come forward to tell his own story.
