Mailchimp told us in May: pay up or lose rich HTML on the free tier. So we built our own list server instead.

13 days, 24 subscribers migrated, 6 issues imported. Then bots piled on and inflated the list to hundreds.

Real number of people reading: 15.

A newsletter 15 people actually open beats one thousands of bots are 'subscribed' to and nobody reads.

People expect my AI agents to live in some custom dashboard. They live in Discord.

The model is the easy part to buy. The toolbox .. the chat app, the vault, the connectors, the boring scheduler .. is the part that takes a year to get right, and almost none of it is AI 👇

The failure you should plan for with AI agents isn't a rogue AI. It's a comment that closed one character too early and took my dashboard offline for 12 hours.

Six posts in, here's the cutting-room floor .. the dumb, instructive ways it actually broke 👇

Everyone asks how I run seven AI agents. The agents are the easy part .. a weekend's work now.

What keeps them running in six months is the boring stuff: one repo, a runbook for everything, a vault no agent can read. Architecture is the product 👇

Every morning I open one page for 30 seconds and find out what 7 agents and a dozen machines did overnight .. what ran, what broke, what quietly stopped.

The dangerous failure isn't the one that errors. It's the one that goes silent. How we watch the wa… ift.tt/phAySJc

One morning I opened the board with a Monster and found a job already done .. one I never assigned. Overnight a monitor caught a CVE on CISA's exploited list, filed a ticket, and a separate agent patched every affected host and closed it out.

How our agents cooperate without ever talking 👇

Last month something read 3,200 emails across our inboxes so I didn't have to. 57 were a real human writing about real business .. ~2 a day. The rest never hit my eyes.

An email landed in our BadgePirates inbox in February. I never opened it. Last month an automation we built dug it back out, classified it as real human business, and dropped a draft reply in front of me. Three minutes later it was a customer. blog.badgepirates.com/episode-1-the-…

Last year's @_BSidesKC , Inc badge arrived late after surviving international customs, and for most people never got its moment to shine. It's been sitting in a drawer waiting for a second chance. We decided to give it one. Ad Astra - we've ported the Lunar Lander contest to are. Just new firmware on the badge you already have. #BsidesKC26 is April 25th in Kansas City. Bring your badge. It's finally getting the conference it missed. bsideskc.org #bsideskc #badgelife

So with a few tweaks, Day 1 of #Defcon33 with our MyBadgeLife.com app is going well. You can upload a badge by taking a pic of it.. and we improved the analysis to return results (or fail find) faster. Give it a try. #badgelife
