In 1941, Edward E. Love began his career with the City of Tuscaloosa as a meter reader. Over the next 35 years, he helped shape the future of Tuscaloosa’s water system, advocating for a new treatment plant to serve our growing community.
On November 7th, 1976, the Ed Love Water dicated in his honor. Fifty years later, his legacy continues through the 40 million gallons of clean, safe drinking water provided to our community every day.💧
To celebrate this milestone, Tuscaloosa Water is inviting you behind the scenes!🚰 See how water from Lake Tuscaloosa becomes the clean drinking water you use every day with a guided group tour of the Ed Love Water Filtration Plant.
