The only thing that makes sense to me about Ryan Day is that he’s addicted to the feeling of anxiety - whether he realizes it or not.
As a kid, my mom told me not to touch her curling iron because it was hot. Of course I touched it anyway. And after that? I never touched it again. I learned from the mistake.
Ryan Day doesn’t seem to learn from his. In 2024, after the Michigan loss, he and his family were getting death threats and had 24-hour security posted at their house.
You’d think after going through that - after enduring the absolute worst of it and coming out the other side - he wouldn’t want to put himself or his family in that position again.
What’s he still afraid of?

Our coaching staff, meanwhile, would rather bury freshmen on the depth chart and make them “earn” their way onto the field instead of letting them develop through real game experience.
USC is investing in its youth and will reap the rewards for years to come.
Ohio State will continue handcuffing itself, only to turn around and overpay for some Sun Belt transfer who probably won't pan out.
At some point, we have to start developing the talent we recruit.

But has he actually improved his in-game coaching - decision-making, late-game strategy, failure to adjust and clock management?
