When @inecnigeria said Bola Tinubu got over 400k votes in Rivers state I almost died of laughter. 😂 How? Why? When?

During the collations, Professor Charles Adia, the returning officer in Rivers state during the 2023 presidential election wanted to run away due to Wike's...

@inecnigeria Threats to his life, compelling him to change the results in favour of Bola Tinubu, but the INEC chairman professor Mahmood Yakubu told him to change it anyway if that's what the governor wants. I don't know where professor Charles Adia is now but I know professor Yakubu is now...

85% of products in Nigeria are fake, especially alcoholic drinks.

From fake sachet milk to fake toothpaste to fake Hennessy to fake coca cola. We are doomed.
BREAKING: Yesterday, a 45-year-old “Adeyemi” was arrested for producing fake drinks to poison Nigerians at a trade fair market in Lagos State.

These guys have killed more Nigerians than bandits have.

Kudos to NAFDAC 👏

I honestly don't know the importance of NYSC. It's nonsensical, it's dangerous, it's horrible and a lot of pain for a little gain.

Nigeria is the only country in the world that mandates her youths to go through such horrendous exercise.
I went back to Nigeria for NYSC & served in Ekiti State, in the middle of nowhere—a remote village called “Ishe Emure” (or something similar). There, I saw poverty firsthand.

You needed to see how they rushed the bread & watery tea in the morning. Someone in NYSC kitchen must have built an empire with the budget The food was less than Oliver Twist’s; they brought it to the hostels, & ate with joy.

In the Mami market, those of us from Rivers State were almost oppressing others (without even realizing it). We were all well-behaved with proper manners, yet we stood out from the crowd; it was obvious we didn’t belong there.

I think Ekiti is for those who missed out on Lagos & Abuja orientation camps. I mobilized late, it was too late to get any placement. If I knew what was waiting for me in Eshe Emure, I would have waited to join the next batch.

The food was as cheap as ever. But the hostels were horrible—I hope they have fixed them now. They were old, dilapidated secondary school classrooms. My experience was a living hell: you couldn’t charge your devices in the hall because there were no sockets. Charging was done in the Mami market, & you paid for it.

I only spent three days in camp, but I saw poverty in all its shapes & forms. I fell sick, I was too frail to continue. Ekiti State is generally cheap compared to Rivers State, especially its capital, Ado-Ekiti. We couldn’t tour the town because it was far from the NYSC camp.

It was quiet—a nice escape for a quiet life. It felt as though I were in a cabin in the woods.

Nothing about it was quaint. Everything felt incongruous with the places I had been. Their highest park was a place called Fajuyi Park. We stayed in one of the best hotels, Midas, & it was really cheap for someone indigenous to Rivers State who was coming from America to serve.

I noticed that many of the people there were professors & civil servants. The camp was run like an abbey; corps members were expected to be chaste—in fact, they demanded it.

The camp was really strict, like a fortress. But I met some really nice people, especially the soldiers. They were nice to us. The NYSC officials were like mommies & daddies; they are some of the nicest Nigerians I have met. I still keep in touch with some of them, especially the camp commandant & my platoon officer.

They treated us with kindness & understood the predicaments in the camp. It was the rainy season; the halls were without windows & electricity. We had to shower very early in the morning, before the crack of dawn. The water was cold, & the toilets were eyesores. I held it together until we got back to the Midas hotel.

It was a horrendous experience for me, & it gives me PTSD to this day. I saw few civil servants riding bicycles used by palm-wine tappers in the villages. The Ekiti experience gave me some perspective. Back then, there was no direct flight from Port Harcourt.

It was a long & arduous journey by road—I think we were on the road for longer than nine hours.

Heading back was another five hours to Lagos, then a flight to Port Harcourt. Nigeria presents different lived realities for different people or demographics. I hope Ekiti camp is better now; I would like to return someday to give back.

To the women out there, please don't be like Yinka Quadri's wife. Resist every and any form of cheating completely.

Any man who cheats on you has zero respect for you and should not be called your husband. Stay completely away from abusive relationship.
“My wife knows I’m dating other actresses. When we finish shooting and some of the actresses I’m dating come to sleep in my house, my wife gives them food, even though she knows they’re my girlfriends. She doesn’t complain”

🤣😂 those people plenty o. Their salaries finished after 7 days and they blame village people. 😂🤣😂🤣😂😂
There are lots of people in Nigeria, who still can not connect their life difficulties with "bad governance".

The society told them it's village people and they've ran with it.
