security isn’t that big of a deal if you just like take it very serious
we store all creds in a plaintext dot txt file so we’re living proof of not taking it seriously

The thing is when you have superior tech that’s perfectly avg like @AvgSandboxCo
you have nothing to worry about
you have nothing to worry about
None of these security incidents are a “they deserved it / had it coming” situation. We’re all next.
And if you’re a competitor using this moment to poach customers, remember this is going to happen to you too. Sooner than you'd imagine. And then everyone’s going to remember the shade you're throwing at others right now.
Have some empathy.

yeah switch to @AvgSandboxCo
stop whining about @Railway
any fucking service provider can experience outages, leaks, or anything else
don't be a whiny baby, go rotate your fucking API keys and credentials 💪

yeah $100m ARR, really intelligent and nice people plus they normalized the canvas for infra companies everywhere
but yeah they’re totally dead
not even going to be able to come back from this once in a generation moment

this company is dead
they waited half a day to notify customers of their secrets breach
disable new deployments, while telling people to rotate secrets (so requiring them to deploy elsewhere)

ohhhhhh ok sure
our boat.dev cloud VMs are 10x cheaper than blacksmith for CI
users have been using us for that, saying they prefer us over namespace
so I wrote a guide about it: docs.boat.dev/ci
(I mean my agents read messages with users that do CI on us and wrote it)

this may seem like a joke to @an_engineer_log, but it’s very serious
my VCs are like a family for me:
- i talk to them once a year
- when times are bad they never want to talk to me
- they’re hoping i’m their lottery ticket so they can cash and continue to afford their drug and drinking problem
- it’s a 10 yr relationship

@an_engineer_log i’ve never even heard of you guys and you are stealing customers left and right from us
plz pivot to something else like an ai notion or slack
my margins need to be protected and ur hurting them
plz i have a family (of investors i mean)

Just want to say sorry for our customers for being down for 3+ days
the amount of intensity you wouldn’t understand that we’re facing today
every day we wake up turn on our computers (we have a mandatory laptop shut off policy for security reasons you wouldn’t understand bc you iscover that yet again someone is trying to get into our vibe coded system
this is really frustrating when you’ve put your blood sweat and tears into something (and a lot of tokens) and someone is just trying to watch the world burn
to whoever has kept us down for three days i hope you have fun burning money like the joker in dark knight

wholly crap we have 300x revenue growth since january
the math is simple
i took the last second that of course was the highest and then multiplied it by….
60 (bc minutes)
60 again (bc hours)
24 (bc days)
7 (bc weeks)
52 (bc years)
and it came out to 300x more than the last second that i counted in january

we’re seeing the same sort of thing on our side
honestly, we’re just a victim of our own success
honestly, we’re just a victim of our own success
if you want to know the type of stuff we're dealing with here's an example
the link is a planetscale oauth flow set to send credentials to an attacker
we're seeing hundreds of completely different attempts every day

this is 100% right
unless you are us then it’s really cheap to switch to us
unless you are us then it’s really cheap to switch to us
People fail to realize, that sandboxes are a land-capture and winner-take-all market.
The switching cost is high, similar to any infra.
The faster you can capture the market the better.
The people who survive are going to be the ones good at getting their hands on lots of money.

Huge congrats for the whole Daytona team
Still crazy to me that they didn’t fork firecracker, but just used sysbox
Still crazy to me that they didn’t fork firecracker, but just used sysbox
We just raised a $60M Series B at a $1B valuation to build @daytonaio into the Agent Cloud.
@FirstMarkCap led the round, with all key existing investors and angels doubling down.
We're also thrilled to welcome the founders of some generational companies aboard, including bi (Shopify), @AravSrinivas (Perplexity), @BrendanFoody (Mercor), @oliveur (Datadog), @adamdangelo (Quora) and @ericsyuan (Zoom)
We're a 35-person team. But that's about to change; we're hiring across the board, and we'd love for you to join us.
