On Sunday 1 November, a husband and father to two young children was allegedly attacked with a baseball bat outside his home in Torquay, Victoria, after confronting two people who were damaging One Nation signs on his property.
He is now in hospital with multiple facial on the brain. He faces a long recovery.
He runs his own business and is the family's only income earner. While he is recovering, the family has no money coming in. His work vehicle was also badly damaged in the alleged attack.
His family should be able to focus on his recovery without the added worry of lost income, medical costs and everyday bills.
We are keeping his name private to protect him and his family.
All funds raised will go directly to the family to help cover these expenses and support his recovery.

Rejecting political violence is not the same as defending the FUCK out of ourselves when you come for us using political violence. Do not mistake our genuine desire to engage you democratically through words, debate, and voting, as a weakness. It, as David said, is a rare and wonderful thing we have here in Australia, to be able to change the political landscape, without bloodshed.
- But know this please - We will defend ourselves with all legal proportionate responses. As an ex-police officer, I can assure you that putting you on your arse until you are incapacitated from committing further violence, or 'to stop the threat' before the strike - are legal defenses.

This follows other reported incidents involving One uding an elderly staffer allegedly punched and spat on at a Brisbane Ekka stall (resulting in a broken rib) and earlier spitting incidents.
Separately, MP Helen Haines was critically injured in a targeted car attack in Wangaratta a few weeks ago and has had both legs amputated, another attack by the left.
These attacks are unacceptable. The PM has called for turning the temperature down on political discourse, but rising threats and violence against politicians and volunteers need to be addressed.

A convicted Afghan drug courier and fraudster has had his visa cancellation overturned, despite his being charged with more drug offences in the lead-up to his appeal against a government him out of the country.
The 27-year-old refugee, who can be identified only by the pseudonym ZKDP, last week became the latest foreign criminal to be spared deportation by the Administrative Review Tribunal under the Albanese government’s Direction 110 guidance.
The tribunal found while the man presented a “moderate” risk of reoffending, the strength, nature and duration of his ties to Australia, the best interests of his younger siblings and the prospect and uncertainty of being removed from Australia all meant the cancellation of his visa that followed his drug courier conviction should be overturned.
