Shoutout to the young bull Jonathan Kuminga! Picking up right where he left off in ATL. It all starts on the defensive end, where he’s been an absolute menace. But what’s really standing out is how elite his ball-handling and decision-making have been. The game is slowing down for him, and it shows.

Kuminga is ranked #3 in defensive net points, and the only shocking part is that he isn’t #1. He’s been the best defensive player I’ve watched to start this season. His versatility, ability to guard multiple positions, and willingness to take on the toughest assignments have been elite. Barnes isn’t on Kuminga’s level defensively, and I don’t think it’s particularly close.
Cooper Flagg is in the top ten in both offensive and defensive Net Points.
He hasn't had a negative game yet in four games.
It's early in the season and in his career, but those are good signs.

Show me the game where Steve Kerr allowed Kuminga to play 30+ minutes while coughing up the ball SEVEN times and playing atrocious defense. I don’t think JK has had seven turnovers in a game in his entire life. Yet Yaxel gets the freedom, patience, and runway to play through his mistakes that Kuminga was never afforded. Funny how that works.

As hard as it may be for the establishment to accept, the #WNBA simply isn’t a legitimate mainstream television product without Caitlin Clark. The proof is in the pudding. AD buyers are disinterested not looking to purchase ad space, importantly consumers demand isn't invested in the product.
Their celebrated “record viewership” numbers can’t even compete with the attention Clark generates in a preseason game. That tells you everything about where the real demand lies. It’s no wonder networks aren’t moving mountains to give the league premium prime-time slots. The media can manufacture a narrative, but it can’t manufacture an audience.
