BAYELSA STATE: WARM CONGRATULATIONS TO SENATOR HENRY SERIAKE DICKSON

Yesterday, 30th October 2026, I travelled from Enugu to Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, to attend the homecoming ceremony honouring my dear brother and our Party’s National Leader, His Excellency, Senator Henry continuing our engagement with the people.

During the grand event, I reminded the good people of Bayelsa State that, after more than three years in office, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has not considered it appropriate to spend even one night in Bayelsa State, despite spending over 260 days abroad.

I assured our numerous supporters and the people of Bayelsa State that this will not happen under my leadership. I will visit Bayelsa to hear directly from our people and respond to their concerns.

In Bayelsa, I pledged that we would begin efforts to upgrade ports throughout the Niger Delta, including those in Warri, Port Harcourt, and Calabar. We will also begin construction of the long-delayed Ibaka seaport in Akwa Ibom State and establish a new port in Bayelsa State to serve our riverine communities and the broader Niger Delta more effectively.

I reaffirmed our commitment to unite and secure the country, fight corruption, and make substantial investments in healthcare and education while lifting our people out of poverty.

The visit concluded with my joining Senator Seriake Dickson, for a traditional canoe war game and boat regatta in his hometown of Toru-Orua, Sagbama Local Government Area.

I congratulate my dear brother, Senator Henry Seriake Dickson, on his successful return home. I appreciate our party’s national and state leadership, members as well as the good people of Bayelsa for good organisation, warm reception and successful event.

A New Nigeria is POssible, and Nigeria will be OK!. -PO

And na exactly the same thing Wike boys dey do, wey them dey criticize everyday 😂

People wey defend that failure called BUHARI until death because of Amaechi.

Bro, if you see where these guys dey talk good about Buhari, you go dey ask yourself if na the same Buhari you experience 😂

The only reason Tinubu usel3ss for their eyes na because Amaechi no dey with am.

I swear on my life, those boys for defend Tinubu if Amaechi been dey him team or cabinet.

Their new love now na Atiku. This same Atiku wey all of us know say no difference between him and Tinubu, all because their Oga dey with Waziri Adamawa 😂

Make we no lie to ourselves. Just like Tinubu, Atiku hard to market 😂

I love Amaechi and I’ll forever speak good of him.

It's our turn and we're bringing a man of capacity. Even if you discount the tribe or senatorial District, the man is solid. Vote for my brother. Sir Gabe I'm solidly behind you.
On Thursday, October 29, 2026, I visited the Ogbakor Ikwerre Cultural Organization at Obiri Ikwerre Complex, Port Harcourt.

I sincerely thank the President General, HRM Eze Barr. Godspower Woke Onuekwa, and all leaders of Ogbakor Ikwerre for the warm reception and prayers. I te Chairman, Chief Engr. Chukwudi Dimkpa, for leading the delegation.

I chose to visit Ogbakor Ikwerre first because of your importance in Rivers politics. As leadership has moved across zones, I am appealing to Ikwerre people to support a united Rivers by backing a shift to Ogoni, in line with the historic bond between our people.

This appeal is not about tribe or party alone. It is about capacity, vision, and character to restore Rivers State. We must also resist state capture that is hurting all of us.

I assure our traditional rulers that my administration will respect your institutions.

I also urge support for our son, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, for Vice President under ADC a position that will bring greater honour to Ikwerre and Rivers.

Thank you for your blessings and for the book WHO THE CAP FITS.

Together, let us build The Rivers We Deserve.

Sir Gabriel Baritulem Pidomson, PhD, FNIM, FNIQS,
ADC Governorship Candidate, Rivers State.

Our Allegiance Is to Nigerians’: INEC Chairman Assures ECOWAS of Commission’s Neutrality
#NigeriaDecides2027

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has assured the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) of its commitment to conducting credible, l 2027 general elections, disclosing that Nigeria’s National Register of Voters has surpassed 103 million.

INEC Chairman, Prof. Joash Amupitan, SAN, gave the assurance while receiving the ECOWAS Pre-Election Fact-Finding Mission, led by former Vice-President of Sierra Leone, His Excellency Victor Bockarie Foh, at the Commission’s National Headquarters in Abuja.

Amupitan described the 2027 general elections as a pivotal milestone in Nigeria’s democratic journey since 1999, stressing that their successful conduct would have significant implications for democratic stability and consolidation across West Africa.

He disclosed that the Commission had successfully completed nine of the 14 major statutory milestones contained in its revised timetable and schedule of activities for the elections.

According to him, the Commission has concluded three phases of the Continuous Voter Registration exercise and completed the physical display of the Preliminary Register of Voters nationwide.

Providing details of the scale of the electoral exercise, Prof. Amupitan said INEC would deploy personnel and technological resources across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, covering 774 Local Government Areas, 8,809 Registration Areas and 176,846 polling units.

He said the Commission had adopted a field-driven approach to assessing its preparedness, conducting zonal readiness assessment tours across the country's geopolitical zones.

On technology, Amupitan reaffirmed INEC’s commitment to deploying the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) for fingerprint and facial biometric accreditation, alongside electronic result management systems.
He also highlighted the introduction of the eEC8A electronic verification platform, which, according to him, would complement transparent result management and verification through the INEC Result Viewing Portal (IReV).

On election security, Amupitan said the Commission was working with relevant security agencies through the Inter-Agency Consultative Committee on Election Security (ICCES) to strengthen security arrangements ahead of the polls.

The INEC chairman called for stronger ECOWAS collaboration in deploying long-term and short-term election observers, sharing technical expertise and addressing emerging challenges such as electoral disinformation, logistics and inclusive voter education.

He also urged the regional body to sustain diplomatic engagement with political parties, civil society organisations and other stakeholders to promote peaceful campaigns and respect for democratic commitments.

In his remarks, the Head of the ECOWAS Pre-Election Fact-Finding Mission, Victor Bockarie Foh, explained that the mission was part of the regional organisation’s established practice of assessing electoral preparedness in member states approaching general elections.
Foh, alongside the Head of the ECOWAS Electoral Assistance Division and Permanent Secretary of ECONEC, Mr Serigne Mamadou Ka, said the mission was undertaken in line with Article 31 of the ECOWAS Protocol on Democracy and Good Governance, Article 53 of the ECOWAS Conflict Prevention Framework and relevant decisions of the Authority of Heads of State and Government.

He explained that the mission was designed to assess the preparedness of electoral stakeholders and identify areas where the ECOWAS Commission could provide support.
