Theoretically, after Democrats win back control of Congress and the White House, we don't get to move forward as a country without widespread prosecution for these crimes against humanity that Republicans are so gleefully admitting publicly. This is a tumor that must be excised.

Incredible that in a union state and union city the New York State School Board Association knowingly booked the Buffalo Hyatt Regency as the host hotel for their annual convention. They even put out a notice about the labor dispute encouraging their members, many of whom are ross the picket line .

I’ve been released from IDF custody with a “warning,” apparently because of my public profile (I told them I wasn’t even a congressmember yet, just a nominee).
But several dozen rabbis & participants harvesting olives with me are still in detention. For harvesting olives. They shoudiately.
To be clear: Palestinians face far worse consequences every day. These detentions by the IDF are one more attempt to undermine Palestinians’ right to harvest their olive groves, travel on their roads, and live in their homes. Yet one more element of escalating, and very clearly state-sponsored ethnic cleansing.
We’ll update on their status as soon as we hear.

This is great news. NYC doesn't purchase any other country's bonds except Israel. After three years of committing a genocide, there are no moral nor fiscal grounds for continuing these investments.

After over a year of growing pressure from the Break the Bonds NYC campaign, City Comptroller Mark Levine has finally backed down from his dangerous and irresponsible pledge to reinvest the city pension fund in Israel Bonds. This is a victory a victory for the BDS movement.

I’m heartened that NYC will not be reinvesting public funds in Israeli government bonds. This is proof that public pressure works, and I commend @jvplive for leading the principled Break the Bonds campaign to end public financing of genocide, occupation, and war crimes against Palestinians.
While this has been framed as a purely financial decision, investment of public funds must be guided by a moral commitment to human rights and accountability to the will of the people.
In the State Senate, I will continue advocating to end New York State’s investments in Israeli government bonds, including the hundreds of millions of dollars held by our public pension system. New Yorkers deserve a say in whether their money is used to finance war and injustice abroad.
While this has been framed as a purely financial decision, investment of public funds must be guided by a moral commitment to human rights and accountability to the will of the people.
