I turned 24 years old today…
If there’s one thing I’m learning about my twenties it’s that I CONSTANTLY feel ahead and behind at the same time. It’s a weird paradox that leaves me working harder than ever and more proud of myself by the day.
I’ve hit milestones I used to dream of, worked with some of the biggest people/companies in the trading industry. Doing things that my younger self would think is so awesome. I’m excited to grow more and get better every single day and I can genuinely say I’m proud of the man I am right now and the man I will become.
Thank you to everyone that’s supported me on this journey of me chasing my dreams. I’m excited for the next chapter in my life.

Fumbled an absolute bag to the short side today
Pyramided into this and when we hit 700s I moved my stop to breakeven
I should've left it at the high where the Suspension Block is because we had a SIBI and -OB sitting at my average that needed a retest before going lower
be more moves like this next week and I know exactly what I did wrong
Nothing wrong with price action or the strategy, things played out to a tee today 🤌🏻

I wanted to see higher and then lower, but market offered lower first so I favored longs into 10AM rather than shorts
Was able to limit risk from 66pts down to 23pts, so the loss was very small

Static vs EOD Trailing Drawdown:
Static Drawdown is simple:
Take for example a $50k account with a $2k drawdown
Your fail line sits at $48k and it never moves even when you make profits. Static lets your profit actually become a cushion.
Let's say you make $3k, you're now $5k $2k. That buffer is yours to use on the days nothing works.
EOD Trailing Drawdown:
Your drawdown updates based off your highest closing balance at the end of the day. If you close at $53k, tomorrow your fail line is now $51k.
Trailing takes that cushion back as fast as you build it. You're always the same $2k from done no matter how good the month has been.
One of those lets you breathe after a good run while the other keeps you on the edge forever.
