This land loot by the CM for his friends is shocking, and yet not so.
One wonders what is the hurry and the worry that has pushed the CM to loot lands in Mumbai so openly for his friends.

मी हे पत्र ठाणेकरांवर जबरदस्तीने लादल्या गेलेल्या एआय डेटा सेंटरबद्दल लिहीलं आहे.
मी सहभागी झालेल्या नागरिकांच्या आंदोलनानंतर, प्रशासनाने एका समितीची स्थापना केली. परंतु, ह्या समितीचे अध्यक्ष वगळता इतर सर्व सदस्य हे प्रशासनातील पदसिद्ध अधिकारीच आहेत.
ह्या प्रकल्पामुळे निर्माण वनी प्रदूषण, उष्णतेचे उत्सर्जन आणि सुरक्षा ह्यांसारख्या अनेक बाबींवर आजही अनेक प्रश्न कायम आहेत.
स्थानिक नागरिक ह्या प्रकल्पाच्या जागेवर प्रश्नचिन्ह उपस्थित करत असून, रहिवासी भागाच्या मध्यभागी हे एआय डेटा सेंटर कोणत्याही परिस्थितीत नको, अशी नागरिकांची ठाम भूमिका आहे.
• हा प्रकल्प एखाद्या 'रेड इंडस्ट्री' एमआयडीसी क्षेत्रात का हलवला जाऊ शकत नाही?
• कोणत्या धोरणामुळे बिल्डरला हे डेटा सेंटर येथे आणण्याची परवानगी मिळाली?
• शासन फक्त बिल्डर्सचेच म्हणणे ऐकून घेणार का? बिल्डरच्या फायद्यासाठी शासन नागरिकांकडे दुर्लक्ष करणार का?
ठाणे आणि उरणमधील रहिवाशांना ठराविक दिवशी पाणीपुरवठा मिळणार नाही, परंतु प्रशासन बिल्डर्स आणि हितसंबंधांना पाठिंबा देणे सुरूच ठेवेल; आणि शहरासाठी हानिकारक असलेल्या एआय डेटा सेंटरसारख्या प्रकल्पांचे काम थांबवणार नाही!

कर्जत तालुक्यात गुजरातच्या 'टोरंट पॉवर' कंपनीच्या जलविद्युत प्रकल्पासाठी हजारो झाडांची बेसुमार कत्तल राजरोसपणे सुरू आहे. 'सायडोंगर' परिसरातील समृद्ध निसर्ग संपवून, स्थानिकांच्या आणि पर्यावरणप्रेमींच्या विरोधाला पायदळी तुडवून ही कत्तल कुणाच्या आशीर्वादाने सुरू आहे?

Why can’t it not be moved to a red industry MIDC?
What policy allowed the builder to bring this data centre here?
Will only builders be heard by the regime? Will the regime ignore citizens for builder benefit?

I was hoping that hosting the @EarthshotPrize meant that the regimes would learn from the fantastic work it honours- of protecting our planet, but the regimes here are busy shooting at the earth itself!
This @RamsarConv site was worked on and sent for Ramsar approval during our government and we know how sensitive a sight this is.
