A new milestone for ALICE computing!
The University POLITEHNICA Bucharest (UPB) has been officially recognised as a new CERN WLCG Tier-1 site for the ALICE experiment. Congratulations to Mihai Carabas and the entire UPB team on this important achievement!

Jets can help nuclei come together: New ALICE result, highlighted in @CERNCourier, shows that deuteron production is enhanced within jets in pPb collisions, supporting the notion that light nuclei can form when nucleons are close together in phase space.

By studying how particle jets are modified as they traverse the quark-gluon plasma created in heavy-ion collisions, ALICE reveals how QGP affects heavy- and light-flavour jets, as reported in the @CERNCourier:
