Seeing a lot of posts that CI needs a lot of compute, so you can run your CI on X, Y, and Z sandbox platform and cut your bill by 1/3rd.
I think you will be surprised how much other things matter too:
1. Good bandwidth to Azure/Microsoft if your code lives in GitHub.
2. Efficient VM snapshotting to do a “sticky disk” type thing.
3. Package caching on the network.
4. Carefully managing oversubscription, or not oversubscribing at all, because compilers often use all the CPUs you can throw at them.
5. A distributed file system for storing caches, because CI is all about caching expensive steps.
CI is all about caching, so cheap compute without all of this would still slow your team down. The winning combination would have a fast distributed file system, cheap compute, no oversubscription of resources, vertical scaling to keep the sandboxes small when caches and being restored and scale up quickly when running compilers.

Within 24 hours, we shipped changes that removed the eMudhra attack vector for all our customers.
In particular:
- GitHub Actions jobs no longer trust the compromised certificates.
- Devboxes now receive a patch when they wake up, so the mitigation is applied automatically.
These changes apply across Linux, macOS, and Windows.

Cool thing about our devboxes is that they can both be treated as a singleton, or as one of many (via blueprints and pools).
Spinning up 100 Namespace Devboxes, each simulating a 166,700-neuron male fruit fly connectome playing DOOM.
I selectively silenced neurons across the connectome to test how targeted lesions alter motor output and survival. 100 fly brains, 100 neural perturbations, One last fly p in the comments.

What does it mean to build for the frontier? Does knowing how software works still matter? When should you kill a feature? We talked about all this and more.

Join us. :-)
We've raised $42M in Series B funding led by @scalevp, with participation from @NEA, @20vcFund, and others, bringing our total funding to $65M.
Namespace is already powering software development for SpaceXAI, Ramp, ElevenLabs, Factory, ClassPass, Wispr Flow, Bilt, Framer, Zed, , Vanta, Sierra, Warp, DuckDB, Effect, Mapbox, and more than 1,000 of the world's most ambitious companies.

Today, I'm excited to share that we've raised a $42M Series B led by @scalevp, with participation from @NEA, @20vcFund and others, bringing our total funding to $65M.
The next 100 billion commits are coming faster than any infrastructure was built to handle.
We're building, developer platform for this next wave of software development.
We already power software development for @spacexai, @tryramp, @ElevenLabs, @SierraPlatform , @framer, @TrustVanta, and more than 1,000 of the world's most ambitious companies.
In the last 12 months, demand has surged, with total revenue growing 8x. We will use the funds to accelerate product development, expand our data centers, and continue hiring world-class talent.

There’s a lot more to do here still but seeing great results already.
Bringing efficiency at scale means going after everything that slows you down.
And we were done with slow checkouts.

Introducing Git Snapshots: Fast repo checkouts that scale out.
In early access, customers saw up to 6.5x faster git checkouts.
Now powering checkouts for @spacexai and many others, and available with both Cursor Origin and GitHub.

Spend is top of mind. Just had another conversation with a prospect about it. I see it as our job to deliver efficiency to your team. In performance, and cost.
We already do that, and we will continue to do it even more to support the exponential usage that agents are driving.
We already do that, and we will continue to do it even more to support the exponential usage that agents are driving.
Ray Kim, Mobile Engineer at @classpass: “We evaluated many options, and Namespace is the only one that could deliver the performance our iOS team needed.”
Before Namespace, Mac runners made up about 90% of ClassPass's CI spend, a concentration the team kept having to justify.
ot only sped up their CI but also cut costs by 55%.
