This made me claw out my own ears.
NHS doctor: There’s COVID and flu armageddon in our hospital... It’s everywhere, to the point where they’re definitely not swabbing on purpose... They’re like, ‘We don’t even want to know if you have COVID or flu, because it just makes things complicated.’

NHS doctor working in Emergency Dept:
📍MON: “ED is full of Covid & flu outbreaks”
📍WED: “I’m becoming sick, guys”
📍THU: “I’m dying out here… But I can’t call in sick… The people need me.”
This video makes me so angry. But none of it surprises me.
This is now the norm.

🎯 when I saw this 👇 last night I thought it was parody - surely this can’t be someone caring for people in such a dismissive way about infection and transmission - surely it’s a performance but 😳 WTAF

This is the kind of deal the Democrats need to investigate immediately if they take Congress. An oil deal in Alaska which actually might be a gift to the Russians with Trump involvement. ft.com/content/e9cfbf…

Why are troll accounts attacking the flu vaccine and talking up the flu?
What is wrong with these lunatics?

I have never been so happy to see Influenza A come up on an LFT. 1) I’m not being a wimp it’s proper flu and a few days off are called for and 2) it’s not Covid so unlikely to see major sequelae. We’ve know for 100 years that flu has plenty but so much less than Covid.

Well, it's currently plateauing.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Just gonna say... if the current covid wave is bypassing kids because they had ba.3.2 recently and their parents didn't, then it's going to have a different shape to other waves.
It may keep climbing for longer, for a start, and may have a plateau rather than peak.

Well, the International Soil Reference and Information Centre calls 6% a plausible incline for a plateau, so if it's good enough for them, it's good enough for me.
@1goodtern We estimate that Covid infection levels in England are still increasing, 6% this week and 5% last week. We don't categorise that as a plateau. ECDC data suggests XFG is still behind the majority of infections.

The trolls are going to come for them.
I don't mean the digital ones.

Google illegally cleared an estimated 250,000 trees across 330 hectares of forest in Muhos, northern Finland, to prepare for a new AI data center before completing mandatory environmental impact assessments
And another 150,000 trees felled at Otanmäki

Hospital acquired infections are 100% preventable it's just not 'financially' encouraged. Hospitals need to be a place of safety again someday
.
.
Hospital acquired (nosocomial) Covid in Welsh hospitals accounts for over 70% of Covid in their hospitals…patients who are given Covid while already in hospital. And they wonder why “pressures” haven’t eased 🙃

This article really hurts.
“At no point did I feel they sincerely acknowledged that I had been through a horrific sexual attack and that the trauma of that had deeply scarred me, or their role in it all.”
