🧵On Privacy 🧵
You may have heard of TornadoCash, Monero, Zcash, Decred, or SecretNetwork. Sounds complex, fringe, and unnecessary. Are they truly private, do we even need privacy anyway?

What’s going to happen to open source?
A prediction:
Dependencies are over.
The same Brotli vulnerability impacted .NET, Node, Bun, Envoy and more. Dependencies are too big of a target.
When rewriting a dependency is one prompt away, why take the risk?

So I’ve been talking to a @nic_carter impersonator for the last few days. I usually get bored trolling these guys but this one was too much fun.

We asked GPT-6 Astra to edit Qwen3.5-0.8B weights to improve math.
It directly changed only 0.016% of weights, fixing 0.8B's reasoning loops & improving math up to 6x and even instruction following 3x, without gradients or training.
We call this Weight-Space Programming: fronely read/write neural network weights! 🧵

Community note
LLM was given weights explicitly as text in prompt and used code/forward passes (per authors' logs) to ablate Qwen looping direction, a known thinking-mode issue per model card. Primarily fixed repetition in that mode, not general 'natively' improving weights/math.

Implicit state machines can be made unrepresentable by using mutually exclusive state variants and one-way transitions that consume the old state
And there are only three usable programming languages for which this is possible:
Rust, Haskell, and Swift

I find it significant that the most AI-pilled people I know use AI for basically everything…except for writing
It’s remarkably consistent. Why? Because to write is to think. And outsourcing your critical thinking to AI is intellectual suicide

You as a solo developer who read and acted on this a week or two ago, have a better security policy than the entirety of the Ubuntu org
2026 is revealing facts so absurd as to sound impossible, yet true nonetheless

The agentic era is here, and Derive is ready.
Agents can now trade all kinds of complex options strategies on Derive, with docs and APIs built for machines.
Already plugged in: @CircuitAI, @OverwriteIntern, @virtuals_io 🤝

Bad time to announce that @CircuitAI can now connect to your CEX accounts and run agents there? 😛

Likely Binance hack ongoing, $2 billion drained and counting. Another $780M USDC clip just got taken from the hot wallet as well, so compromise looks to be still active

what would your AI assistant build if it could see your wallet?
circuit now connects to Grok, Codex, Muse, Duet, or your terminal with one prompt. Your assistant researches and builds through Circuit's Builder, and trade execution waits for your passkey.

This is a big one! Keep credentials secure in Circuit with reliable execution, while having your existing bot connect to Circuit to build any agent you want inside of it
Give Circuit a try, just point your local agent at it!

AI agents could drive up to $5 trillion in global commerce by 2030, according to McKinsey.
They'll need yield to do it, and Circuit is tapping into real-world yield through Plume Vaults, the ecosystem that's minted over $1B+ assets, for its agents.

the next frontier of finance is autonomous.
we're partnering with @plumenetwork to bring real-world assets into the age of financial agents.
starting with native minting and redemption of plume vault shares on circuit.
this is just the beginning. stay tuned.
