🚨 I really think OpenAI might be FORCED to bring GPT-6 Bel out sooner than planned.
Look at the pressure building around it.
→ Opus 5.5 is raising the bar for coding while putting pressure on cost per task.
→ Kimi K3.1 Pro is challenging frontier models with aggressive pricing and ambitious benchmark claims.
→ Gemini 4 Carbon is rumored to be coming.
→ Claude Fable 5.5 is rumored to bring even more capabilities at more aggressive pricing.
That's a nasty combination for OpenAI.
The competition is pushing both sides of the equation:
MORE intelligence for Less money.
Meanwhile, Codex users want better coding intelligence, more autonomous agents, and reliability they can actually trust.
OpenAI can't rely on model hype and brand recognition forever.
Maybe GPT-6 Bel is the answer.
But its capabilities and release plans remain unconfirmed.
And here's the real question:
If OpenAI released GPT-6 Bel exclusively on a $500/month subscription, would you still pay for it?
