Man as I experience 90% of customer service in Canada, I keep thinking “I can’t wait until you’re an AI”

Physiological manipulation of people that have access to air gapped systems is far more likely than super esoteric side loading attacks imo

2027 will be more memorable for the change that’s coming than COVID was for 2020. At least it will be in China… if it isn’t in USA…. We’ve likely lost forever and you should get your agent to start teaching you mandarin.

Pro Tip: Ask AI to "ground your response in the RCTs and relevant research." This massively reduces hallucinations, and makes claims much easier to verify.

This is a good example of not understanding how intelligence can bypass traditional limitations.

Think of a very intelligent human estimating the weight of food on a plate from an image. Think about a team of people?

Oh, that's X model plate, I can tell because it matches Y listing. It's 6" wide, ok, that means the food occupies 23.3 sqin on the plate... etc.

Oh, that's a small chicken leg. A normal size one is X calories. Can we figure out how much smaller it is than average?

Think Rainbolt at Geogussr but for getting the accuracy of food macro info.

Intelligence solves a lot, and it's only increasing, either exponentially or hyperbolically.
wait I thought Cal AI was just a meme as the original 'GPT Wrapper?'

Was it not widely known it was highly inaccurate as it was essentially impossible for it to know the weight of the food?

Have people actually been using it this whole time?

wtf is going on?

I keep saying AI's skills are growing exponentially, but that's not actually accurate. It's an open question right now as to weather it's growing exponentially, or hyperbolically (rate of exponential increase increasing over time).

One metric to track is the Doubling Time. number of days between when an AI can handle tasks that would take a human expert twice as long to complete.

If it's exponential the doubling time would be constant. As in "AI's capabilities double every approx 220 days"

But this is not what we have been seeing recently.

If you evaluate the doubling times throughout various start points in history you get.

All-history: ~196 days
Since 2023: ~131 days
Since 2024: ~89 days
Recent history up to 4.6: ~46 days

This is looking more hyperbolic than exponential. Time will tell.

Honestly I feel like the people that interact with AI the least have the most to offer by using it.

Pretty much the only mistake during this time in AI is to sit still.

My fellow Canadian's have this mistake where they think the pursuit of money is somehow bad, or that profit is evil, when at the individual/small business level this could not be further from the truth.

What I've found is that prices can often be lower and the reason they're not is because there isn't enough competition, driven by the lack of entrepreneurs.

This is a values problem, and it needs to stop.

Most people don’t fail because they’re lazy.

They fail because they have too many options and zero pressure.

I’ve seen more progress in 48h under a deadline than 3 months of planning.

AI makes this worse unless you force decisions.
