In September 2025 I flew to Hong Kong to scout venues. On Thursday the Under Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury opens our Summit at the Grand Hyatt.

Tendermint almost wasn't Apache 2.0.
@jaekwon says his company at the time only wanted GPL, and he fought over it for two months.
His solution was to split the EVM off from the consensus engine and connect the two with ABCI.
"That's why Tendermint became Apache 2.0. I had to fight for that."
