accidentally bumped into this abomination of a webpage, and it reminded me how awesome it is that we don't have to deal with this crap on a daily basis anymore.
travel bloggers and cooking recipe websites really ruined the internet.
not every ounce of our existence on this tized.

we seem to be spending way more time admiring our tools than thinking about what we want to make with them.
we’ve got a better hammer. what are we going to build?

this kind thing should honestly be the default offering for developer tools:
free trial
no credit card required
free credits (if applicable)

I don't know why some developer-focused products make it so hard to find the API key. It's not a treasure hunt.
In the age of agents, getting an API key is one of those very few things that still requires a human. So make it easy to get one.
Also, give me a few free credits. I'm not sold on your product yet.

If you're building (or rebuilding) a developer onboarding experience in 2026, make it what I call "grab-and-go friendly."
Make two things ridiculously easy to find:
1. An API key
2. A prompt I can hand to my coding agent
That's it.

Reminder to self:
Knowledge for knowledge sake is useless.
Knowledge is not supposed to make you impressive; it should make you more useful.

Just logged into the Alexa developer console after a while, and boy is it stuck in 2020 still.
Pretty evident it's not getting much love at all from the team, let alone developers.

Coding is solved.
Oh my god, Firebase’s SDK started to crash ALL iOS apps that were using it, for ALL sessions, just like that, no way for any of these apps to do anything…
How amateur is all of this from any SDK, but especially one from a company with as high of an engineering bar like Google…

I don’t get it.
Why comment when you have nothing to comment really?
You don’t “have” to use AI just because you can.
It’s a choice. Use thy tokens and attention wisely.

Just built this @dayone clone on Omarchy. Almost one-shot in 15 mins.
Would love to see DayOne come to Omarchy so it can support sync etc, but mighty impressed with what it was able to generate quickly.

I've got to admit, Omarchy hits you differently when you have it running on a machine your fingers are used to already.
I had it running on a Dell XPS 13 for a few weeks, and just never got into it as much as I have in the last hour running it on the 13" MBP (M1).
Been chiseling my key bindings even further to go faster.
Absolutely fab work from the @OmarchyMac team to bring this experience to the Mac.

Run DigitalOcean Managed Agent Runtime Services (M.A.R.S.) from inside @herdrdev. 🐏

So excited about this partnership!
Also, this @digitalocean theme and screensaver for @OmarchyLinux was so fun to build on my Dell XPS @dhh 😊
Let’s go!

Omarchy's production build systems now run on DigitalOcean. 👾

The benchmark for a coding agent is no longer how well it answers a prompt. It is whether it can stay on duty when nobody is watching.
@amit built a Flask app crashes after a todo is deleted. Managed Agents detects the failure, finds the bug, writes a regression test, implements the fix, and opens a PR before the developer returns.
Observe → diagnose → test → repair → review.
This is the shift from copilots waiting inside a chat window to durable cloud agents that continuously monitor software, preserve context, take bounded action, and leave an auditable trail.

Our developer advocate @amit planted a bug in a Flask app, deleted a todo, and walked away.
Managed Agents caught the crash, found the bug, wrote a test, fixed it, and opened a PR before he was back with a coffee.
